The hotel reception is excellent. Very helpful through a phone translator. This Yan’an hotel, like a high proportion in my experience, has a different name than on Trip.com. The name on the elevator is Pod Inn.
One of the revolutionary sites is a very short walk away: 25 yuan entrance plus 100 yuan deposit for the audio guide. Alipay doesn’t work, but WeChat does. Or bring cash.
Great to be in Yan’an for the memorial museum:
1. You only need passport and to fill in details in the visitor book to get in 2. Free to get in and awesome because of the importance of this time. 3. Bring your translator camera app to get a lot more out of this amazing place.
