Motel is old and out of town on the corner of main road to Yamba. Traffic noise starts at 5am so hard to get decent nights sleep. High hotel prices for well worn old motel so think twice and look elsewhere. You only know motel’s condition when you arrive as advert photos are very kind to the point of misleading!

What a great find ! Room 1 was excellent. Super comfy bed. Room had everything you could need. Smart tv was easy to use. Absolutely spotless ! Super impressed. Very friendly atmosphere. Tennis court and pool were awesome. Fire pit and bbq We will definitely be back. Totally recommend!

Great motel! Has been refurbished, very modern. Rooms are CLEAN! I work in luxury hotels in QLD and the cleanliness is on par! Bed super comfy! Cute design very on trend! Would recommend & will be back!

We stayed in a two bedroom apartment. It was extremely clean and well appointed. Roomy, quiet and comfortable. I loved the double blinds in bedroom! Staff were really friendly and helpful. We had planned on one night but got a great deal for an extra night and so pleased we did as it gave us time to enjoy the Carmel. Also in walking distance to most things. Highly recommend

This was our second stay at The Carmel Yamba to enjoy our Wedding Anniversary. Our first visit was such a great experience and this visit was the same. Chontelle (Manager) is so friendly and attentive and tries her hardest to meet all requests. This visit was for our Anniversary and Chontelle and her staff organised a little surprise for our arrival which was sooooo special. The rooms are very clean, the beds comfortable and the facilities are awesome with a half tennis court, pool, barbeque area and fire pit. Complimentary bikes seal the deal as this allows you to explore the river and witness wildlife in abundance and cruise through the town centre. All the staff are so friendly and helpful. Why would you want to stay anywhere else? We can't wait to revisit again soon.

Lot's of road noise so don't expect a sleep in. Room is beautifully decorated and furnished. Spa is great. Floor's were really slippery I nearly fell on 3 occasions. Maybe a few rugs on the floor would help.

Wonderful friendly welcome, hubby and wife can't do enough for you. Room sparkling clean, comfy king bed, ample kitchen area, with crockery cutlery etc., access to free laundry facilities, tennis court and pool. Walking distance to town or ferry to Iluka, can walk to the supermarket but takes half an hour. Close to Bowling Club for meals. Would thoroughly recommend and will certainly come again.

Exactly as advertised. Spotlessly clean room, huge bathroom, comfy bed and nice linen, quiet with absolutely everything you need for a very comfortable stay. The owners were wonderful, friendly and very helpful. Couldn’t fault my stay here, highly recommend.
