We couldn’t be more satisfied with our stay. Skied for 3 days. The lift is tight across the street. Rental price is very good. Food is abundant and service is excellent. Highly recommend.

Excellent location, onsen is great, food is typical Japanese and staff are great. Our room had futons (not sure about the others) and a private bathroom. We had breakfast and dinner included, best if you like to try local food. There's also a gift shop with all sorts of local items. Everything was +++

Hotel Sunny Shiga’s staff were friendly and attentive. Highly recommend travelers to select the half board option to sample delicious Japanese styles breakfast and dinner. The view from the restaurant on a blue bird day is amazing. Their sizable Tatami rooms were neatly presented and gave my little boy a taste of experiencing sleeping on futons on tatami mats. The Hotel also offers ski hire in house and pricing is super reasonable. The dry room is functional and literally 50 metres from the closest lift which then connects to the rest of the mountain via a network of ski lifts.

Hotel staffs were friendly and helpful. My stay included breakfast and dinner. The food provided were good and tasty. Do include the food in your booking. Definitely a worth to try; as there isn’t much food place within the ski area. Although the ski slope was not open to public, we were fortunate to have a ski school (Shiga International Ski School), which provided a patient and friendly instructor to bring us to a ski slop that offers public for use. My family had a good time spending out 5D4N at the hotel.

My stay at Hotel Sunny Shiga was very pleasant. The hotel is located directly across a ski slope, and there are free busses available to take you around the area. The dinner and breakfast were delicious and the staff were very friendly. They also have an onzen available 24/7, which is a great way to relax after a long day. The hotel has ski and gear rental options, which were very affordable. My only comment would be to improve the wifi connections in the rooms.

Like the service and responsiveness of the owner/staff of this accommodation. Whenever I need to clarify or to ask any query, the reply came quickly within a day. Some accommodations that I have booked didn’t even bother. As we stayed early in the season in dec 2022, the accommodation was not too crowded. I like the onsen at this accommodation and the Japanese room that we had was spacious for 3 of us. The rooms are a bit old and dated but the warmth and service rendered by the staff/ owner made up for it.
