Wonderful service and location. Host will pick up at station and also can drop u at monkey park.
The ryokan shared onsen is lovely, clean and wide. Private onsen is also quite unique an comfortable.
Breakfast was large and delicious, brought to your room.
The ryokan guests also have access to all the 9 Shibu onsen public baths.
We were really thankful to have the chance of staying here, thanks a lot Yumoto!

The host auntie and uncle were very friendly and taken good care of our needs:) They speak excellent English and explained everything to us about using the public baths here in the onsen town. We pick the option with breakfast and dinner, although seems we have been ripped off by Trip.com, and it costs way less if we had ordered from the ryokan directly:(….a lot of people do the option without the meals as there are a good selection of rrstaurants jn the onsen town, we we hadn't known about.

The whole B&B is very clean and the owner likes to communicate
You can make an appointment for the pickup service to the Snow Monkey Park!
There is a key to the public nine hot springs, and the B&B has an indoor and outdoor hot spring pool~

We came to Shiga Kogen for skiing, and have been to Yudanaka four times. We have stayed in 8 different B&Bs, and Daimaruya is the best one:
A The boss speaks good English, so there is no problem in communication (the boss's wife is not very good);
B There is a bathroom in the room, which is very convenient (most B&Bs have shared bathrooms, which is inconvenient)
C It is in the hot spring town, so it is very convenient to eat;
D There is a train station right outside, which is convenient for skiing in the mountains;
E Both the indoor and outdoor hot springs are large and awesome;
F The boss is very nice and provides pick-up/drop-off/snow monkey park services (this is very important in Yudanaka when it is snowing heavily, and some B&Bs do not provide it)
In a word, Daimaruya is the right choice for skiing in Shiga Kogen!

Very good accommodation. Kindness of the couple who owns it and impeccable service. They picked us up and took us to the station and also took us to the park (then you can walk back for a ride). The house is clean and well organized. They give you access to the public hot spring baths, which we tried, but the onsen they have in the house is great.
