Yamagata Futabacho Hotels

Hotel is on the West Exit (bus to Zao/Sendai is on the East Exit) but is less than 10 minutes walk and feels more quiet. Rooms were good size and there were free drinks and ice cream in the lobby from the afternoon. There is a 24 hour supermarket behind the hotel, only negative is, there is no proper crossing in front of the hotel.

Excellent location short walk from Yamagata station. A better location might be located on the east side of Yamagata station as there are more food and beverage and convenience stores available. Dated property but cozy and functional. A man made onsen within the property doesn’t hurt. We also had a rental car and overnight parking was ¥600. Complimentary breakfast however you must account for time and occupancy, we did not have time to enjoy it due to the lines. Service was top notch. Hotel was helpful with directions and translation. A senior lady went the extra mile to assist with contacting next hotel and even considered train timings as well as advising us to stay in Yamagata and not go early as there was nothing available in the next onsen town.

The free breakfast buffet has a variety of flavors and is acceptable. There is a coffee and soda self-serve machine 24 hours a day, happy hour 6pm-9pm 🥂🍹🥃 I was looking forward to taking a bath but unfortunately the natural hot spring is under maintenance. However, different types of scented bath salts are provided for bathing in the room🛀. Masks are also provided for bathing. Overall I am very satisfied👍🏻

When I made my reservation, only smoking rooms were available, so I was worried about the smell, but when I called the day before to inquire about the snow conditions and parking situation, the front desk person kindly changed my room to a non-smoking room that was available. I had a very comfortable stay.

The hotel is relatively old-fashioned, so you have to insert the key to have electricity. This is the first time I have seen it. The space is very enough. When I take a shower, it takes a long time to turn on the hot water. However, the room price is very low, so I don’t ask for much. There is a parking lot next to it for 750 yen. Park for one night.

The hotel is relatively old, the room size is moderate, and the price is reasonable. There was only one washing machine but it was broken.

I spent four great nights at Yamashiroya Ryokan when I was visiting for sight seeing and skiing. The owner was very nice and looked after me very well. She is a great cook as well and the breakfasts were excellent! I would definitely stay again if I was in the area.

Book a room on behalf of a friend! Very close to Yamagata Station! Near the bus stop! Easy to get in and out! Simple and clean

1. Location of the hotel is nice! 2. Double Room size is pretty small which is 140m2 onlty! So, I would not reccomend those who have kids! 3. Toilet is very tiny! also bathtub can't fit a small kid! 4. The Freezer is very small! I have never seen such a small freezer. So, couldn't fit our Bento Box! 5. The hotel is old, and not properly maintained, for example; shower curtain is broken, and attach it with tape!
