The room was exquisite.
We loved the terrace. The seats were very comfortable and we had a great view.
Cherry on top we could see a fantastic show at night.
We could also enjoy the sight of the dragon boat at night.
Bare in mind that there is no pickup from the train station. But you can take the subway and they'll come and pick you up. If your party counts 4 members, I recommend taking a cab or a didi (just like the hotel recommended us).
That said, we were given free rides to visit the city.
They can also arrange a car for you to visit other sites (paying service).
We had huge and high quality towels as well as disposable hand towels.
The toilet was a washlet like the ones we have in Japan.
The hotel was very clean. Unfortunately, they were some remodeling going on on the first floor when we stayed there and the smell of the solvent was unpleasant.
They did not have enough sitting to accommodate proper sitting for everyone but we took our breakfast up to our private terrace and enjoyed it very much.
The breakfast is a set breakfast. We could choose between 2 types of Chinese breakfast.
I can't say that I loved the breakfast but it was nice.
You can arrange it with many sauces, condiments and plenty of fresh chives and cilantro.
You can even ask for seconds.
The butler was very kind and helpful, as well as the rest of the staff as a matter of fact.
They also have a washing machine that you can use for free but you have to take care of the drying yourself.
My family and I got sick from a previous food intoxication and we were happy that we stayed in such a nice hotel.
Fenghuang old city is very festive so it can get noisy at night but the terrace's windows are of very good quality, therefore it did not bother us much. It is possible that you can hear your neighbors though.
All in all, despite being sick we had a wonderful experience at this hotel. We were happily surprised to receive a farewell gift.
We definitely recommend the place and we go back to this hotel without hesitation.

GGuest UserOur experience was wonderful. People running this hotel are amazing, super kind, always helpful. I am Italian and I don’t speak chinese but with the translator we could communicate perfectly with them. The room was amazing, new and clean with a wonderful view of the village and river (we had booked a balcony room). At night it’s stunning! The bed was comfortable and wide. They have the elevator which is great and they are just 150 meters (2 mins) from the entrance gate of the ancient town. They provided a free shuttle from the railway station and helped us to obtain the tickets for the ancient town from our online reservations. It was very how during our stay and the air con was perfect in the room, they provided fresh water bottles everyday. Breakfast was chinese and super yummy (the best wonton in my life), they also have coffee, some backed cakes and toast bread. I really suggest to stay in this place!

GGuest UserMagnificent view of 凤凰古城，while get to enjoy tranquility in the midst of the bustling town. There is a road right in front of the 民宿， thus taxi can come right to the foot.
The room we stay in is very spacious, the platform where I placed my luggage helped to reduce the stress on my knees, after climbing 武陵源。
The owner and staff were very warm and helpful. They always greeted us with: ”回来了” everytime we came back from outside and provided us with extra bottles of water upon request. On top of that they also helped to order food online, pre book places of interest, in Changsha, as we don't have a China SIM card.

EekkaluckOur hotel stay was in a suite with a spacious balcony offering a stunning view of Hong Bridge (虹桥, Hóngqiáo) in Fenghuang. At night, the bridge was beautifully illuminated, creating a breathtaking scene. The hotel owner, Ah Ming, provided excellent service, always taking great care of us. He helped carry our luggage and even offered a shuttle service to and from the train station.
The heating system, including the room heater, worked perfectly, ensuring a warm and comfortable stay. Ah Ming was incredibly kind and attentive, always ready to assist and provide useful information throughout our stay. This hotel truly offers one of the most spectacular views—an absolutely unforgettable experience!

GGuest UserWe are very happy to choose Xiangxi hotel to stay during our visit to Fenghuang. The hotel is easy to find and taxi dropped us in front of the lobby. Staffs are very nice, friendly and helpful. They gave us welcome fruit and maps and offering support throughout the stays. Rooms are clean and big. Breakfast is good with various local meals. When we are about to leave the hotel, they arranged drop off to station for free and even gave us some local food to bring. What a pleasant surprise. We really enjoy beautiful Feng huang while staying there. Thank you all Xiangxi staffs for giving us wonderful experience.

SShane CanadianGood location if you want to be near the ancient town, but in a quiet spot. The main bus stop is right outside the hotel and the ancient town is about a two minute walk. Room is large and modern and bed is comfortable. You won't have much of a view on the backside of the hotel, and the front is likely to be a bit noisy with the bus stop during the day and the Aunties dancing in the square in the evening. It was nice that they gave a parting gift of local delicacies when we checked out.
A few improvements needed:
1. Hooks, or hanging racks, for towels at the shower and the sink. There is no way to dry a towel after a shower.
2. Wash cloth. For a nice hotel, a wash cloth (or face cloth) should be provided. They are not expensive.
3. The water in the shower will be affected by the toilet flushing and the sink faucet. It will get very hot. Quite a surprise given that this is a new hotel.
4. Car service, especially to the train station. We asked the front desk to call us a taxi. Their response was to walk us to the main road, which is likely 300 to 400 metres. Not ideal with two suitcases and several bags of merchandise. It also took some time to get a taxi, which made us start to worry that we might not arrive in time for our train. Note that when you arrive at the drop off are for the train station, it is quite a long walk across a square to the station itself. Be sure to leave an extra 5 minutes for this.
5. Communication. When communicating with the hotel prior to arrival, we asked for a room on the top floor, which is the 5th floor. We were assured this would be arranged. However, on arriving at the hotel, we were initially assigned a room on the 4th floor. We mentioned the earlier conversation and were initially told there were no rooms available on the 5th floor. It wasn't until another attendant arrived, and seemed to check a chat history on the computer, that we were given a room on the 5th floor.
6. Sound insulation. While the room is quiet, the noise from the hallway can be easily heard due to poor insulation around the doors.
All in all a good stay but some improvements needed.

GGuest UserThe host was incredibly welcoming, proactively asking if we needed a pick-up from the station, and was quick to respond to our every need. The local stir-fried cured pork and sausage were delicious, and the sweet rice wine, in particular, left an unforgettable aftertaste. The view from our window was also quite beautiful. The hotel environment possesses a naturally serene aesthetic. Sunlight streamed through the floor-to-ceiling windows, complementing the greenery in every corner, and the air carried a subtle, earthy fragrance. The corridors were laid with thick carpets, muffling footsteps, and adorned with elegant ink paintings. Soft, warm lighting cast a gentle glow, making walks through them exceptionally soothing.
Our guest room was clean and cozy. Stepping onto the balcony opened onto the viewing platform – wooden railings framed a lush bamboo grove. Tall, straight bamboo stalks with densely layered leaves swayed and rustled gently in the breeze. Standing there, surrounded by such vibrant greenery, even the air felt crisper. In the evening, the setting sun cast golden patches through the gaps in the leaves, with the shifting light and shadow creating the illusion of a secluded haven. On the fifth floor, there's another viewing platform offering panoramic vistas of Furong Town. Guests can also enjoy complimentary karaoke, singing while admiring the views and dining – we were absolutely thrilled with this experience!
The service was a significant highlight. At check-in, the front desk readily shared tips on the best viewing times for the platforms. The cleaning staff were quiet and respectful while tidying and even discreetly swept fallen leaves from the balcony. When we wanted to sit on the viewing platform, staff promptly brought rattan cushions – every detail reflected their thoughtful consideration.
Overall, this place seamlessly blends natural tranquility with warm, attentive service, ensuring a supremely comfortable stay. We'll definitely be back here on our next trip. This stay stands out as one of the most satisfying travel experiences I've had, even compared to numerous famous attractions I've visited!

XXiaoyu？xiaoyu！It is strongly recommended that if it is a birdcage room, it is better for one person!
If you want normal comfort! You must have enough money to get a big room!
The whole hotel is distributed in the ”Shenfeng Scenic Area”, with small bird cages and big houses in a unique shape! Very interesting! It's just that some of the infrastructure in the birdcage room will be very poor, but the big room (expensive) is much better. In addition, it takes a lot of physical strength to enter and exit the hotel (except for the elevator at the beginning).
You can visit the Shenfeng Scenic Area in your spare time, and there is also a light show at night in the Shenfeng Temple Square not far away (high), and there are performances when the weather is good!
It is worth mentioning that the ”breakfast”! I read other people's comments that the breakfast is very bad. But my experience is really good.
”Steamed” eggs are definitely better than outside.
Steamed dumplings are also very delicious!
Cabbage is just as good! There is no feeling of being particularly bad.
The most surprising and interesting thing is the cartoons on the connecting corridors between the various guest rooms in the hotel. There is also a twelve zodiac trail! (There is no way at the end, so you need to go back)
Oh, by the way! There are real peacocks in the high-rise area of the scenic area (higher than the Shenfeng Temple Square)! Alive!
There is also a large area of ”pompom flowers” in an area called ”Flying Bird Camp”.
The entire scenic area can be visited in 2 hours (my hiking ability)! And it was in the rain! There was no one! I felt like I had entered the ”fairyland” because there was really no one except me. Oh! Be careful of snakes, I didn't encounter any (fortunately)! I didn't go to the Nanhua Temple at the highest point, and it was definitely not because I was too tired to climb up, but because there was a locked door and no one opened it.

SSorinGThe location is just in the scenic area, view is incredible. The location is actually you are paying for, so expect the average on anything else.
The staff is ok, no english but the apps will do.
Breakfast is asian and quite basic.
Be warned that the cars taxis have no access inside the scenic area. The road from the drop point (scenic area gate) till hotel is rocky, paved with irregular stones, it’s a pita dragging the luggage, so come with a light one :))
At midnight everything shuts down, including the lights, so make sure you’re doing your night shots by then.
