The hotel is less than 5 minutes away from the ferry terminal, which makes travel very convenient and the environment very elegant. I found her hotel on the second day after arriving on the island and stayed there for 5 consecutive days. The owner and hotel staff were very warm and thoughtful. They answered all my questions and recommended the surrounding special foods and attractions. The breakfast sandwiches were also very good. Gulangyu is very beautiful. I have planned to go there again next time and stay at her house again.

The service is really good. After looking at Ctrip for several days, I finally decided on Jiu Er Castle Villa Hotel. I chose to travel during off-peak hours and not on holidays. The price is really cost-effective. Before I went to Gulangyu, I received a caring call asking if I had bought the boat ticket. The customer service also sent a detailed route map for going to the island. The environment is good in all aspects. I must give it a five-star rating! Next time I come to Gulangyu, I will still choose to stay at this hotel. I must give it a thumbs up!

Clean room with affordable price, location actually near to longtou road but since we can get lost easily in gulangyu, don't forget to always use map. From ferry pier take left exit, keep left until find a tunnel but dont get into it because the tunnel will lead to the other side of the island, keep walking try to find trinity church through the signage, the hotel is quite near to the church. Outside of buildings in Gulangyu mostly seems old ones, but they renovate it to a modern hotel inside, worth staying for a night or to in the island.

Bringing 70+80+ elderly people to Xiamen for vacation, we chose to stay in Gulangyu for 2 nights to slow down the pace, avoid the crowds, and enjoy the a**osphere of time. We chose the hotel that is said to be the most expensive on the island. Because it is under renovation, we upgraded the room. Whether it is Jingli Building or Benyuan Building, we must live on the 2nd floor. The first floor is a bit dark and claustrophobic, and the lighting is not good. The elderly are still happy to live here. The road on Gulangyu is not easy to walk. The elderly spend most of their time drinking tea and resting in the garden. The environment is very quiet. The breakfast in the restaurant is a nine-square grid, which is very stylish. The cheongsam change is given, the cheongsam is of good quality, and the elderly are very happy to take pictures. It’s just that the largest size is only xxl, and we have an aunt who weighs 140 pounds and can’t wear it. The scenic spot ticket of Haitiantang is given, which is very close to the hotel and walks for 3 minutes. Gulangyu still depends on the specific floor and orientation of the room when choosing a hotel. We still like the feeling of openness.

It is one of the most excellent hotel in Xiamen. The rooms was huge, very clean with complete amenities and very comfortable. The check in & check out was easy and fast. The most famous zhongsan pedestrian road just behind the hotel with just about 500 - 600m walking so it is easy to find food and stuff. The staffs are nice, friendly and some of them even can speak fluent english. It has a complete and great facilities too.9 The food from the restaurants for our dinner was delicious and excellent. We are very satisfied with this hotel, it has a very good price for this hotel Thank you for the hospitality

Hygiene: The hygienic condition of the homestay is good, because it is newly renovated, very clean and new. Environment: The environment is very good, quiet and comfortable. I booked 3 rooms, a double bed room and a sleeping balcony room. The picture of the double bed room was not taken, and it is more spacious than the balcony room. There is also a small sofa to sit and watch TV. The balcony room on the highest floor is smaller than the balcony room downstairs, but it is very delicate. The triangular roof is like the shape of the Shikumen loft where I used to live. The balcony was nice and spacious with some sea views. Facilities: The room has everything you need, small but exquisite. The public areas are stylishly furnished. Service: The staff will contact and send the hotel location in advance The hotel is very close to Sanqiutian Wharf, about 500 meters on foot, and the most important thing is that there is no climbing. Just drag your luggage and walk for a while

The hotel was fine. Bed a little hard for western standards, but everything very clean. Cannot say enough good things about front-of-hpuse Mr Micheal Chen, whose English was exceptional, and politeness incredible. He helped book our ferry tickets to Gulangyu even! If you meet him, ask about Fawlty Towers! 🤣 The same cannot be said of 1 lady working in the breakfast buffet. I got a plate of bread to share and was told if I liked bread that much, then they sell it!!!! It felt like she was always scrutinising us every time we went for food. I doubt she said that to anyone with a plateful of dumplings. It made us feel uncomfortable every time we went for breakfast after that, and that is not a sign of a good hotel. I won't return to Xiamen, but because of her, if I did I'd choose a different hotel.
