To me the hotel seemed like a really pleasant and quiet place, I didn't hear any noise at night. The room was very clean, a good mattress and pillows. The beach is around a 10 minutes walk away. The pool is good but there are no sunchairs which was a disappointment because I planned to sunbathe near it. Breakfast was not bad with many options to choose from (mostly Chinese food but there was pastry, fruit and vegetables, baguette, bacon, German sausages and fried eggs).

For the first time in life, A hotel that I would never leave. The waiter who picked me up from the ferry terminal was wearing black Chinese overalls, carrying a white canvas bag, and holding a yellow umbrella... When we arrived at the hotel gate, the girl in white with a big smile came out to greet us... When we entered the lobby, we were immediately served with welcome tea (Picture 1). We opened our towels, wiped our hands, and drank tea while waiting to check in... Brother Huang Umbrella and a manager sent us to the room, and explained the facilities and supporting facilities in detail, and even demonstrated how to secure the room door... Then go to the coffee shop and enjoy the exquisite afternoon tea provided by the hotel. The tables and chairs in the cafe are all medieval, which appeals to my aesthetic taste... What I didn't expect is that the desserts taste better than those in professional shops outside! Also, after learning that we were here for our wedding anniversary, the hotel immediately upgraded our room for free. What a surprise. The hotel is where the famous piano master Yin Chengzong received piano enlightenment from an early age. There are only 13 rooms, and the overall decoration style is retro and high-end. I held my camera and couldn't stop taking pictures... Breakfast was also very good. Every waiter is kind and polite. If you come to Gulangyu Island, I highly recommend staying at Hongtang.

We stayed in a satisfactory hotel, which laid a happy foundation for the trip. The hotel reception and room service were very enthusiastic. Breakfast can be served until 10 o'clock, which is very suitable for us who get up late, and there are many self-service items. The children said they would come again next time.

The environment is very good, the air is also very good, the service of the front desk fan is warm and thoughtful, the aunt on the floor is also very thoughtful, and the room is clean and hygienic! I knew about Qishang Hotel before I checked in. I saw that Qishang Banyan Room was newly opened on Gulangyu Island. They are from the same group, Qishang, so I placed an order. It is very comfortable and suitable for vacation. The hotel is located next to Gulangyu Ecological Park. The environment is natural and secluded. It is a good place to avoid the crowds on Gulangyu Island. I like the corridor of the hotel very much. You can have breakfast while basking in the sun. It is also a good place to read a book and relax. Children also like to stroll in the corridor yard. It’s been a long time since I’ve been to Gulangyu Island. I really like walking around the island at night. At night, the kittens are out on the street, and the children are very happy to chase them. During our stay, the housekeeper Winnie picked us up from the pier and took us to the hotel. Fruits, pineapple cakes and children's toothbrushes were also prepared in the room. Another butler, Roger, also helped prepare the baby's tableware when he served us lunch, which was quite considerate and thoughtful. Will come back for vacation, recommended!

Excellent location with wonderful views of Gulangyu Island. Check-in was extremely slow - with a queue developing, despite it being past midnight - they also required a large deposit (double the room rate!) which we felt was excessive. Breakfast was so-so, quite a lot of choice but generally not particularly good quality - was bored of the selection by the third morning. Lots of parking which was very convenient. To be aware, there are no USB ports in the room and cannot borrow a charging block, so be sure to bring/buy your own. In-room dining menu had a wide selection and good quality. Rooms were clean and well-kept. We were brought a small gift for Christmas, which was very kind. Overall, the location and views make up for any minor ******* - would highly recommend for a city break in Xiamen.
