This was a very disappointing stay. The hotel shows it’s age. Everything is old. The worst of all was were the dirty carpets in the rooms and the hallways. It made the air musky and horrible.
If you have allergies like I do, I do not recommend staying at this hotel. I got physically sick. The carpets were disgusting and dust from the carpets completely clogged up my sinuses.
The air conditioning was also bad. By raising the power it only caused dust particles from the carpets to circulate more. My allergies flared up and it was pretty bad.
There were no amenities to speak of. The hotel was like ghost building. Didn’t see many people eating breakfast at the hotel. The selection was also bad so we skipped.
This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had so far on this trip. Most of it was because of the age of the hotel and the lack cleanliness.
I looked for the gym and it was a joke. Just looked at it, walked straight out.
The area was ok. Many places to eat and a beautiful lake by the hotel. But it does not make up for the decrepit state of the hotel.
We didn’t interact much with the staff so I really can’t say much. Just want to say that staff was much friendlier, welcoming and more attentive at the other hotels we stayed at.
I do not recommend people stay at this hotel, especially people with dust allergies.

Great view from the room and a 24/7 vending machine downstairs. Very friendly staff and modern interior. The breakfast was also good.

Hotel was clean. Staff were efficient and friendly. One staff member helped me to book a taxi to the high speed train station. The site is next to a scenic lake and the breakfast dining area has a good view of this lake. Due to an earlier GI problem I did not eat breakfast the two mornings I was there. The problem developed before I reached Xiamen. Very scenic surroundings

This shouldn’t be a five star hotel. The facilities , services and hygiene may be belongs to a three star hotel. Breakfast and the lake view room will be the selling point. However, the noisy is a too serious problem which can annoy you if you are a person who cannot fall asleep easily. Suggest you to choose Better one if you can afford to. By the way, the location is good too. Very close to the most popular market.
