Yeste Hotel (Xiamen Airport Houpu Subway Station)

Room very nice, clean comfy with superior quality furnishings (though a nicer carpeting would be better). Location convenient, hotel literally at metro entrance. Woman at breakfast room & cleaning staff were friendly & hard working. One issue that bothered me was the strong cigarette smell that persisted throughout my entire stay, though this was supposed to be a nonsmoking hotel.

The location is good as it is just beside the metro station. The room I have stayed in is clean and the hotel offered the basic amenities that I needed. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. As for the breakfast, the choice is limited and it is almost the same every day. Overall, if you are looking for a basic hotel room to stay, you can choose this hotel.

Several issues occurred during my stay that I feel could’ve been easily resolved had their housekeeping team been more vigilant. For example, the cold water didnt work from the bathroom faucet, no toilet paper, hairdryer was broken, and window couldn’t close fully. These were resolved eventually by the staff, but took multiple requests to get them to fix one thing. Almost like I made a request and they immediately forgot. At least the property is right next to a subway station. That’s its saving grace.
