Thoughts on Zhiyuan Before I arrived in Xi'an, I searched for hotels online and saw Zhiyuan Hotel. I was pleased. Knowing to stop, I thought that its owner should get the door of wisdom. I went there happily. I would like to share this thought. The round gate is narrow and the road is shaded by flowers and trees. It is needless to say that it is a bit quiet. I checked in, went to bed, and thought about stopping. Stopping begins with action and ends with action. Action and knowledge accompany. There are people who act without knowledge, like a foolish child learning to walk, looking for food when hungry, and thinking about spring in season. This is the way of heaven! Ignorance can also act. There are people who act with knowledge, knowing the skills to provide for themselves, knowing books to be famous, knowing shame and then courage. This is the way of man. Knowledge drives action, action leads to knowledge, and the cycle never tires. Knowledge and action are one. Then when will it stop? Those who act without knowledge follow the way of heaven, do not burden others, and act freely. Those who act with knowledge follow the way of man, and give what they get from others. The Way of Heaven nourishes all living things without selfishness. Since it is selfless, it will not harm its selfishness. The Way of Heaven is prosperous not because of its greatness, but because of its selflessness. The Way of Man follows the Way of Heaven. When people let go of their selfishness, they will also gain endlessly. What they gain is not temporary or temporary. If they covet the gains and losses of the present, they will lose in the long run. Those who judge this Way based on the gains and losses of a moment or a situation are far away from the Way! When people are young, they must set great ambitions and want to know and act. However, too much is as bad as too little. If knowledge is sp**** in action, selfish desires are difficult to eliminate, and they will be reckless and follow the Way of Heaven and burden people. When they are about to die, their ambitions and momentum are declining, and knowledge is dense in action. They will not stop but stop, and follow the Way of Man but have no results. Therefore, there are three ways to stop thinking. The first is to follow the Way of Heaven without burdening people. The second is to follow the Way of Man without selfishness and love people. The third is not to be lazy, to know and act, and to act to gain knowledge, which is the first one. Three questions about stopping thinking: Is following the Way of Heaven burdening people? Is following the Way of Man selfish? Is the unity of knowledge and action lazy? Only when you know what to do and what to stop can you do what you want! If you only ask for what you want to do, you will not get the right result. The above is for self-encouragement! When I went out, I saw that Zhiyuan was the former residence of General Hucheng. It was a great style. Establish the destiny of the people, for the great cause of thousands of years, and eliminate one's own selfishness. I have learned!

The hotel is conveniently located within the city walls, with close proximity to restaurants and convenience stores. But the standout feature is the staff. They're extremely kind and helpful. There's also a free laundry machine (and detergent and dryer as well) for guests to use. Would definitely stay here again!

The first room we had had mold in the bathroom and near the sleeping area, it smelled really bad. Thankfully, when we asked the staff to resolve this issue, they kindly provided us with a new room. The new one was a lot better, no smell and clean, no complaints at all. The decoration is nice and its close from a subway station (10 minutes) and from the city walls. Overall, we would not book it again because of the our initial experience but the staff did a great job and were very kind. There are also some washing machines at your disposal, a great point for us !

The location is great, near the subway station in the center of the city. The room was good and clean enough in my opinion. The problem is that the hotel is not new, so there is not very convenient bath, you need to wait for a long time for hot water and also there is only one usable socket in the room. Also, no European sockets. Breakfast is fine, but could be better, not so much of a choice, but you definitely won’t stay hungry.

When traveling, I would still prefer the economical and clean Hampton Inn. In this tourist city with many hotels in Xi’an The hotel location is very convenient The door is very close to the city wall And there are a lot of buses going to the clock tower. Although I chose to be next to the road, it wasn’t too noisy. The waiters in the hotel are also very hospitable. There are also many kinds of breakfast, especially delicious fried noodles.

Good location, good snacks around! The service is good, the cleaning is clean, and the parking is convenient. Please note that the room facilities need maintenance in some rooms, and the curtains should be washed regularly! Self-driving travel is a good choice! Will come again!

After 8 years, I revisited Xi'an with my family. It feels not as good as before. The Tang Dynasty City that Never Sleeps is not as attractive as when I was on a business trip before. There is no performance. People are blocked in the middle and have to walk all the way before turning around. The Big Wild Goose Pagoda is also closed and cannot be approached. A fountain square can also be made to look very rare. I have to complain that Xi'an's cars are really not friendly at all. This is the case with the Internet celebrity tourist city

I am taking 3 boys with me for a two days family trip in Xi'an. The hotel is in a prime location, walking distance to local tourism attractions in walking distance. It's next to the Shanxi province government building. The square in front of the government building has a music fountain which will blow water more then 10 stories tall. This is fantastic. The rooms are big and clean, breakfast has both eastern and western styled food which was rated the best breakfast they had in China by the 3 boys. We were trying to eat at the famous muslin street but find it too hard to enjoy due to the huge crowd even during the rain. We found a local chain food store next to the hotel is our favorite, it is called 秦晋味道. We visited the Terracotta Army and Shanxi history Museum. They are so famous that there are huge crowd. It's like trying to get on the subway during rash hours in Tokyo. But there is a hidden treasure that is much worth than the Terracotta Army. It is called Mausoleum Museum of Bronze Chariots and Horses. This one is included with the purchased tickets of Terracotta Army. Not many people go there due it is 1 KM away and there is a long walking to reach the exhibit as well. The level of technologies used are amazing. It's a shock for us. The hotel is required by the government to collect both the passport and VISA information. So be prepared. I will use this hotel again for my next trip.

Absolutely loved this hotel. The breakfast is aMAZing with so much choice. The rooms are exquisite, comfy with lots space. The queen size bed was super comfortable and sooo big, I lost my partner most nights. In addition, the staff and service was exceptional too. They have a robot that delivers to the rooms which is a bit weird especially if you share the lift with it. However, a couple of things to note. It's quite far from the old city wall although it looks close on the map. The hotel is a bit dated and is in need of a renovation. Carpets in corridors are a bit stained, our no smoking room stank of smoke, the windows were dirty and some things didn't work like the safe. The pool was lovely but again the spa (jacuzzi) was out of order. Overall, I would recommend staying here especially for the breakfast and room sizes.

We loved staying at the Sofitel Renmin Square. Rooms very beautiful and very spacious. Staff was extremely kind and attentive (special thanks to William who was very helpful in finding restaurants and booking tours). Breakfast was fantastic and varied with both Western and Chinese options.
