For those arriving by air, Xi'an Xianyang International Airport is approximately a 45-minute drive away, spanning a distance of 40 kilometers. Grand Mercure Xian on Renmin Square is housed in a low-rise heritage building built in 1957 on the sprawling grounds of Renmin Square Xian. With a Sino-Russian style façade, the structure is a charming blend of old, classic architecture and modern, sophisticated facilities. Hotel has 194 rooms and suites decorated in traditional Oriental style, complemented with essential amenities that enhances its boutique heritage charm. Adjacent is the Sofitel, offering guests the access to several facilities of gourmet dining and entertainment options.

"The environment is excellent, and the historic building boasts great character (though, understandably, the in-room facilities are not as modern). Breakfast was decent. The swimming pool and gym are shared with Sofitel, which is better than nothing. All the front desk staff were very friendly, proactively assisting with luggage, storing bags, and opening doors with a greeting. Outside the hotel window, there's a courtyard and water system featuring ginkgo, olive, walnut, and honey locust trees, perfect for a stroll. During my stay, I also visited the Chinese restaurant and the Legendary Lobby Bar. The coffee and sparkling water drinks were decent; people who prefer less sugar would particularly enjoy them."

"The W Hotel Xi'an truly goes above and beyond. Traveling with two kids, we were given a complimentary room upgrade, and breakfast for both children was included. The beds were noticeably more spacious than typical hotel beds, which was a huge plus. Even with two children (both around 10 years old), we could all sleep comfortably without feeling cramped. The breakfast spread was excellent, offering a wide variety of options. We particularly loved being able to enjoy authentic Xi'an specialties right at the hotel, including Roujiamo, Youpo Lazimian, Beef Paomo, Lamb Soup, and Hulatang. During our stay, it happened to be someone's birthday, and the hotel thoughtfully prepared a surprise birthday cake. This unexpected treat truly made our day! We'll definitely be choosing the W Hotel again on our next visit to Xi'an."

If you demand a high level of service, our guests have indicated that this hotel has excellent standards. This hotel is particularly popular with those traveling with families.

"My overall experience at this five-star hotel was absolutely wonderful. I especially loved the marshmallow-soft bed – once you lie down, you won't want to move! It provided excellent relaxation for my tired body after a full day of exploring the Terracotta Warriors. I always enjoy staying in hotels with unique and stylish designs, and I took many photos here because every corner was exquisitely beautiful. The hotel boasts an excellent central location, right next to the bustling and vibrant Grand Tang Dynasty Everbright City. Despite its prime spot, it was incredibly quiet in the room – I couldn't hear any noise from outside the window while sleeping. Occasionally, I'd hear conversations from people passing by in the hallway, but it wasn't disruptive. The suite was spacious, and the in-room amenities were comprehensive, including an iron and ironing board. The only minor suggestion would be to upgrade the quality of the combs provided, which would make it even more perfect. Breakfast was served until 10:30 AM, which I found very thoughtful as it allowed for a leisurely 'beauty sleep' before heading down to enjoy a late breakfast. The restaurant staff were welcoming and helpful, and there was a wide array of delicious dishes. Despite my 'eyes being bigger than my stomach,' I managed to pick my favorites and arrange a delightful plate. As I arrived late, the staff had already begun clearing up and cleaning as breakfast service concluded. I enjoy taking photos, and after finishing my meal, I wanted to capture some shots of the restaurant's ambiance. I noticed the staff, having finished cleaning, were diligently preparing and arranging the dishes for lunch. During the time I spent taking photos, I inadvertently observed the professionalism and high standards of the restaurant staff. In the bread and western food section, a young chef was meticulously setting up the bread display. His full protective gear – hat, mask, and gloves – was impeccable, which immediately reassured me about the hygiene standards. He politely moved aside when he saw me taking photos. Later, as he placed a chef figurine and prepared to leave, I gestured for him to be in a picture. He very cooperatively posed. The photo showed him using his gloved right hand to arrange the bread, while his ungloved left hand was behind his back (he had been wearing gloves on both hands earlier and likely removed one after finishing the display). This small detail underscored his meticulousness and commitment to hygiene. After taking the photo, I thanked him, and he politely replied, 'You're welcome.' I also want to mention another detail I observed: while he was arranging the display, an older, presumably senior chef came over and made some minor adjustments to the arrangement. This chef moved all the food items slightly forward and meticulously explained to the young chef that placing them closer to the front would make it more convenient for guests to access them. All these small details I witnessed truly showcased the professional quality of the staff. Thumbs up!👍 If any hotel staff read this review, please extend my high praise to both chefs in the restaurant. I hope it encourages them to love what they do even more, knowing that their efforts are seen, appreciated, and applauded. Finally, I had misremembered the check-out time. I was leisurely packing my bags, thinking check-out was at 2 PM. Around 1 PM, the hotel front desk proactively messaged me on WeChat, asking if I needed assistance with a late check-out. Upon learning I was leaving, they also asked if I required a concierge colleague to help with my luggage. The high-quality, polite, friendly, and enthusiastic service from all staff members made me feel truly valued and provided a VIP experience. Additionally, the hotel features its own museum with beautiful exhibits. It's a wonderful place to quietly admire the items and discover the beauty in each one – you're sure to find something you absolutely love. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel ✔️ and look forward to staying here again! Goodbye Xi'an, I will definitely be back."

All come equipped with the necessary equipment for meetings or events, including services like simultaneous translation.A fitness center and massage service in the hotel spa are also available.

"After searching for a long time online, I found this garden-style hotel. I originally booked Building 3, but the hotel upgraded me to Building 2 (Xi'an Luxury Mercure People's Building). The hotel was originally a guesthouse of the provincial government, hidden in the garden, with a calm architectural style and has gone through the years. The interior decoration is full of Chinese cultural heritage, simple, low-key and meaningful. The check-in environment is quiet and tidy, and the surrounding transportation is convenient. The service is polite and makes people feel at home. Special praise for the three service staff Lu Feifei, Ren Huanting and Wang Yiming. Suggestions: 1. Add some local special snacks (mini version) to breakfast to increase the experience of tourists; 2. Set the breakfast to be flexible (that is, you can book it after staying, or cancel a meal temporarily), so that guests can go out to experience Xi'an's folk morning market."

The city marks the eastern end of the ancient Silk Road and today is a key crossroad to one of the country’s most important trading corridors. Located in the central business area of Gao Xin District, The Ritz-Carlton, Xi’an boasts a privileged access to a variety of historical and cultural sites, including the legendary Terracotta Warriors, Great Wild Goose Pagoda and old City Walls. Designed by Remedios Studio, the hotel’s interior design pays homage to architectural and design elements drawn from the history and culture of Xi’an. Patterned motifs created by local artisans offer a unique social meeting space for visitors as well as the local community.

"We were extremely satisfied with our stay. From the moment we stepped into the hotel, all the staff were incredibly warm and attentive, providing impeccable service. Sophie, in particular, genuinely values the guest experience and is always eager to listen to feedback. The room itself was elegant and comfortable, offering a breathtaking view, especially as dusk settled and the city lights illuminated the ancient city, creating a truly mesmerizing nightscape. The spa and pool provided the perfect sanctuary to unwind after a busy day. Without a doubt, this hotel sets the benchmark for luxury accommodations in Xi'an. We will certainly choose to stay here again on our next visit."

"Last time I visited Xi'an, I stayed at the InterContinental. This time, looking for a new experience, I opted for the Xi'an Hai Rong JW Marriott Hotel. It just goes to show, there's always something better out there; Chinese hotels are truly raising the bar! We drove to the hotel, and the parking lot, which is shared with adjacent office buildings, offers complimentary parking. Metro Line 4 is within walking distance, offering convenient access to Xi'an City Wall and Daming Palace. A large shopping mall right next door adds to the convenience. The lobby features soaring high ceilings and an open layout. The 'Ten Thousand Horses Galloping' art installation on the first floor is quite artistic and playful. The sky lobby on the 38th floor beautifully blends traditional Chinese elements with modern design. Inside the rooms, thoughtful Terracotta Warrior-themed decorative details subtly highlight the region's unique heritage. Guest rooms are generously spacious, and the twin beds are 1.35 meters wide, which is perfect for families traveling with children. The bedding was soft and comfortable, and floor-to-ceiling windows filled the room with ample natural light. The night view from our 34th-floor room was particularly captivating. The bathroom features a smart wet/dry separation and boasts luxurious marble finishes. The bathtub even came equipped with bath salts, a nice touch. A 500 RMB deposit was required upon check-in, primarily for potential minibar charges. As we stayed on an executive floor, we had access to the executive lounge. While the variety of food wasn't extensive, the quality was consistently high. The evening happy hour, in particular, offered a diverse selection of hot dishes and tempting desserts. The main breakfast buffet, blending Chinese and Western options, was exceptional. Local specialties like Hulu Tou and Rou Jia Mo were incredibly authentic and delicious. It's truly not to be missed, offering an extensive variety of choices and excellent flavors that our child absolutely loved. Service was consistently prompt and efficient, with attentive care provided throughout our entire stay, from check-in to check-out. We'll definitely choose the JW Marriott again on our next visit to Xi'an. It truly lives up to the top-tier Marriott standard. And finally, regarding the price: for less than 1,000 RMB, you can indulge in a day of luxurious living – truly a fantastic value!"

"🚇The hotel is near Metro Line 4, and the North Railway Station is directly accessible by subway, which is very convenient for travel. 🏠The hotel is decorated in European style, luxurious and atmospheric. This decoration style looks a bit old now, but the overall facilities are well maintained, and various advanced equipment are also available, such as artificial robots, which are safe and convenient for delivering takeout and express delivery. Although the room is a bit old overall, there is no problem with hygiene. It is clean and tidy, and the lighting is also very good. The cost performance is still very high. The service of this hotel is also quite good. Many details show that the management is very attentive. Welcome tea is prepared in the lobby. The young man at the door sees that he is carrying large luggage and actively offers help. The front desk is also full of handsome men and beautiful women. Not only are they good-looking, but their service attitude is also very good, which makes me feel very comfortable."

__M1381821****The setting is superb, right within the Huaqing Palace scenic area. We didn't set out to explore the park specifically; instead, we booked the complimentary photoshoot offered by the hotel. This allowed us to tour the grounds with the photographer while capturing beautiful memories. The hotel's golf carts were incredibly convenient, chauffeuring us around whether we were heading for meals, hot spring baths, a show, or ticket collection. After enjoying 'The Song of Everlasting Sorrow' in the evening, we leisurely strolled back to our room, which felt like an efficient way to experience Huaqing Palace. We even managed to capture stunning reflections of the starry sky on the lake. Upon arrival, I immediately went for my photoshoot makeup and styling session. My child was in excellent hands with the hotel staff (the 'big brothers and sisters'), and I didn't have to worry about a thing – from check-in to dropping off luggage in our room, or even the room upgrade. The entire process – an hour for styling and an hour for the shoot – was incredibly efficient, significantly saving us time from our exploration of the park. We booked the 'Imperial Hot Spring Twelve Hours' intangible cultural heritage experience. Within the beautifully landscaped Chinese gardens of the hotel, we got to try lacquer fan painting and Tang-style tea ceremony. Our child gained so much from this cultural immersion. The photographer was highly experienced, and the post-production work was stunning. The makeup and styling were natural, enhancing my features without being overly dramatic, resulting in truly beautiful photos. The hotel's private hot spring baths, complimentary drinks from the bar, welcome fruit, tea cakes, and evening snacks all contributed to a truly relaxing and rejuvenating experience. My child absolutely loved them. When we went for a soak in the Jibao Spring hot spring in the evening, the water temperature was perfect. With the music from 'The Song of Everlasting Sorrow' performance echoing through the gardens, it was a truly multi-sensory feast for the eyes, ears, and touch. The noodles and Hulu Chicken at the hotel's Yu Shan Yuan restaurant were a big hit with my child. The restaurant's elegant decor and the opportunity to feed the koi fish in the pond at the entrance kept my child utterly captivated and wanting to linger. During our one-day stay, we savored the hotel's beautiful day and night vistas, both inside and out. The complimentary intangible cultural heritage experiences offered by the hotel provided a deep sense of relaxation for me, and a wonderful introduction to cultural aesthetics for my child.

GGuest UserA truly unforgettable stay – beyond 5 stars! We had an absolutely fantastic experience at the Sofitel People’s Legend in Xi’an. Our room was spacious, elegant, and incredibly comfortable – the perfect place to relax after exploring the city’s rich history. Dining at Dolce Vita was a delight, with exquisite cuisine and a warm atmosphere. What truly made our stay unforgettable, however, was the exceptional service we received. A heartfelt thank you to Ruizi, Themis, Fancy, and Tommy, who went above and beyond to make our Mother’s Day celebration so special. Their warmth, attention to detail, and genuine care made us feel truly cherished. If we could give more than five stars, this would be a solid 10. We will most certainly return!

TTerryXYanThis is one of the nicest stays foe me in Xi'an in recent memory. The hotel was at a great location and staff were extremely helpful. I had a request to print few pictures from my iPhone, the gentle man in the service desk on June 28 went above and beyond to help me download the pictures and reformat them and print out! He even went to office to photo copy another set of the picture for me. I really appreciate the help. The food was great also, and enjoyed it very much. I missed the bar at the 51st floor. I had good time there listening to music and live show many years ago before the COVID-19. Anyway, I would recommend this hotel to anyone who comes to Xi'an. A job well done, thanks. Terry Yan

MMingyue²⁰²⁵This hotel is very grand, with a stately entrance and beautiful design. The rooms are very large, and the amenities are excellent. We bought a package with a hot spring bath, but the hot springs were a bit too hot. Try it in spring or autumn; it's supposed to be wonderful. My family commented that the buffet was a bit limited in variety. Since it was summer and we wanted to do our laundry in the hotel, there was no self-service laundry room, and laundry was charged at 30 yuan per piece. So we hand-washed one or two pieces and hung them to dry on the balcony.

DDapanghaierAt Angsana Hotel, the service was truly the highlight and exceptionally good. The pool was decent, and the staff were very attentive and responsible. However, some areas had exposed rocks, which posed a safety hazard; my child unfortunately scraped their ankle on one. The room design was excellent, featuring a large, comfortable bathtub. The only downsides were that some facilities definitely needed maintenance, such as a broken showerhead, and the absence of disposable nail clippers and bathtub liners. The balcony offered no view to speak of. The complimentary carousel ride and VR experience felt quite underwhelming. On a positive note, the self-service drinks at the front desk were delicious, and the snack box received upon check-in was tasty. Overall, I recommend staying one night in Lintong, as it allows you to visit the Terracotta Army at 5 PM, thus avoiding the peak crowds.

GGuest UserThe skyscraper is very large and beautiful. The rooms are nice and have all the amenities. We were given a free room upgrade. There's a beautiful pool and a gym available. Towels were changed and the bathroom was cleaned every day. Breakfast was a buffet with all kinds of food, with chefs preparing typical Xi'an dishes on the spot. Above all, the staff was very kind, accommodating all our requests and offering us yogurt drinks, desserts, and soups for dinner or a snack completely free of charge. Some of the staff speak English, but with WeChat, you can communicate with a translation tool. I recommend it! Excellent value for money.

WWenlizheThe room decor is quite unique, definitely in keeping with the Marriott brand style, as it's one of their properties. The staff were very friendly. They knew we were tourists and thoughtfully placed four bottles of water in our room – a small gesture, but much appreciated. I had booked three rooms and specifically requested them to be together at the front desk. I was told they had been arranged as such. However, even though they were on the same floor, they were quite spread out, which was inconvenient for a family traveling together. Breakfast was quite extensive, with a good variety of food. My only minor gripe is that the main dishes rarely changed; only a few vegetable options were rotated. I'd suggest they offer more variety at the live noodle station. The hotel's executive lounge is excellent. You can enjoy afternoon tea or coffee there in the afternoon, which is a definite highlight. Another nice touch is that the front desk on the third floor has direct access to the trendy bookstore next door.

AAnonymous UserThe front desk service attitude was very bad. I told them twice that the sleep quality was not good and it was best not to arrange a room near the elevator, but the waiter arranged the room near the elevator. I had to run up and down with my suitcases to change to the second room. When I opened the door of the second room, there was no electricity in the room and there was a smell. I contacted the electrician to fix the room electricity. Although it was fixed, the whole room was out of electricity when the bedside lamp was turned off. I was speechless. I contacted the front desk to change the room. She said that the room was full and it was too late, so I had to make do with it. But in the morning, I asked the hotel cleaning staff and they said there were some empty rooms. I lived there for two days in a very uncomfortable way. I don’t know if the attitude towards Ctrip users is very bad.
