Xi'an Beilin District Hotels

We had a wonderful time at the Old Locust Homestay. You can tell the owner really cares about his guests. During our stay there was some work being done in the road out front and the owner made sure to help us with our bags coming in and when we left and also offered a complementary room upgrade along with complementary imported coffee and gave us some local treats as a condolence for the issue. He always went out of his way to make sure we had a great experience. The hotel is newly renovated, very stylist and has great views from the third and fourth floors. We would definitely come back if we are ever in Xi’an again.

I feel very comfortable and satisfied. The hotel is in a prime location, convenient for travel, and there are abundant shopping and dining facilities nearby. The hotel has all the necessary facilities, is clean and tidy, and the service is cordial and friendly. I look forward to staying here next time.

Love the location of this hotel. Just one step away is the SkyTrain station It makes easy access to other attractions . Walk across is the Bell tower and shopping mall. Some rooms can even see the Bell Tower from the window. I have requested a room with a view of the Tower, but they upgraded me to a room with a balcony. Which is a bit disappointed but still ok I have a balcony. The hotel is beautiful and clean. At least I didn't smell the cigarettes. The receptionist is very helpful, a lady from the travel agency is always there to answer the tourists about Xian attractions. The water bottle is free and they put it right by the elevator on each floor. The breakfast is ok and the restaurant is big. I highly recommend this hotel. I really like the location and all the declarations of the hotel. If I come back to Xian, I will definitely stay in this hotel again.

The hotel is newly renovated, nicely decorated with good artistic tastes and well located. The rooms are clean and cozy, with modern electronic equipment. There are free washing machines and dryers available, and, a gym too. Next to the reception, there is a bar and a dining area. Everything is impeccable. What's make this hotel different is their exceptional service. The front desk staff are very caring and attentive. They are accommodating and always willing to help. During our 6 nights stay, they helped us with all our requests and questions. When you are in a 5-star international hotel, the doorman would find a taxi for you. There is no doorman at this hotel, but, the staff went all the way to help us in a heavy rain. In Xi'an, with such a rain, it's difficult to get a car service, and, impossible to find one for a short distance. Two staff used their own accounts to try to reserve car a for us. And, when it failed, they grabbed umbrellas and our luggage, and accompanied us to the nearest bus stop. They waited with us in the rain until the bus arrived. One told the driver to tell us where to get off. He made sure that we would be able to pay the bus fare, and, was willing to pay for us. We went to different countries, we have stayed in 5-stars international hotels before, we never had such sincere, spontaneous help. It's the best hotel in Xi'an. Keep up the good work ! The place was really clean and nice. It had a really nice air conditioning unit with very comfortable beds. It was very quiet at night with a great location inside the walls. The service was really friendly and the cleaning lady even helped us put our clothes in a bag after laundry when we were out. My only complaint is that the swing is really loud and a little boy would always swing at 9:00AM.

The hotel reception and communal areas were very clean, but the corridor leading to the rooms looked dirty and lacked air conditioning, which made it uncomfortable. The room also didn’t match the pictures shown on Trip.com, which was a huge disappointment at first. However, the staff later improved the situation by replacing a dirty cushion, and the reception staff’s service was truly outstanding. My only criticism is the overall quality of the room.

This hotel is in a small street less than 50metre distance between main street and the hotel. It is located between the south of bell tower and South gate of Xi'an City Wall. This make it easy for us to travel to all around Xi'an by subway, Didi, Taxi, bus. Room is clean and tidy. However, hall way is a bit dusty but after telling the front desk they clean it. Breakfast is good . Congee with Chinese condiment, fried rice, fried noodle, fried sausage, fried vegetable, Fruit, egg, Noodle bar are the composition of their offered breakfast. I have seen that they offer Roujiemou (Chinese beef sandwich) in their breakfast but I did not taste it. Free bottles of water and plum juice are available on the ground floor near front desk. At least Two usable USB-A, two USB-C plugs together with two type A and two type I of Chinese AC plug are on the wall near beds. A light switch in our room is faulty but after telling the front desk they fix it right away. All TV Channel are in Chinese language. All in all I think that this hotel is a good value hotel for a tourist.

The service at this hotel was truly exceptional. My young nephew even remarked that he hasn't experienced this level of service even at five-star hotels. Our family particularly loved the Roujiamo (Chinese hamburger) for breakfast; we honestly thought they tasted better than many 'authentic' ones you find outside. We also enjoyed the drinks in the lobby and made it a point to grab one every time before heading out. We tried the late-night snacks once, and they were quite good. The airport pick-up service was fantastic too; the driver was very proactive and helped us with our luggage right away.

On a recent trip to Xi'an, I stayed at the Xi'an Yongning Gate Elegant Hotel, and my experience was absolutely superb! The hotel is themed around the glorious Tang Dynasty, and the ladies' paintings and decorative fan hangings in the lobby immediately transported me back to that prosperous era. The room was spacious, bright, and beautifully appointed, making for a truly comfortable stay. The hotel's service was also impeccable; the staff were warm, professional, and incredibly accommodating. In the evening, I also enjoyed strolling around the hotel's vicinity, soaking in the authentic local vibe of Xi'an. Simply superb!

Choosing Dongshe Hotel for my Xi'an trip turned out to be a truly wonderful experience. I especially want to thank my personal host, Doris. From the moment I checked in, her impeccable service and genuine smile made me feel right at home. She thoughtfully prepared and packed afternoon tea for me, and even kindly provided 'goodnight sweet soup' every evening. This kind of gentle, attentive care is incredibly rare and precious when traveling. What touched me even more was how Doris immediately stepped in to help when I encountered a small issue with a package delivery during my trip, completely putting my mind at ease. While travel is usually about sightseeing, at Dongshe, I gained something more profound: genuine human connection and care. Doris isn't just a professional host; she's like an old friend – warm, thoughtful, and incredibly attentive. Meeting her in Xi'an felt like a truly precious connection gifted by my journey. I'm incredibly grateful for the wonderful experience she provided, which made my trip to Xi'an incredibly happy and fulfilling. I will definitely choose Dongshe Hotel again on my next visit to Xi'an, simply because Doris is there, making me feel so comfortable and cared for.
