As recommended by Trip.com, I booked the Xi'an Xinyi station accommodation for 6 days for my family of 5 members in a rush for our first China trip. The accommodation is terrible "out of expectation". No wonder it doesn't show the house building on the webpage. We went through a dark and shabby path behind a big nice building and climbed up a narrow, dark, dirty staircase to the fifth floor. I felt like going to a ******* house. We reached the place: the door pane is half broken, pasted ugly with a bunch of cellophane tape. The internal space is okay but the whole house is dirty, and I felt like breathed in the dust. The toilet is terribly small and dirty. The bedsheet is dirty, old, and shabby and no pillowcases are given. The glasses provided are dirty and the kitchen has no light. The whole night is hot with no air-conditioning and full of mosquitoes.
Seeing the house conditions, I realised why the lady was so kind to wait for us at the train station to escort us to the house. There is no way for us to find this "******* place" by ourselves. She quickly rushed back leaving us no time to complain.
As we reached the place at night 10 pm, we were forced to stay overnight. My son got his eczema back the next morning due to the dusty environment. We quickly moved to another nice hotel the next day, recommended by a local tour guide. I didn't follow my husband and the tour guide to collect the luggages from this dirty house, and I forgot to ask them to snap the photos from the house as evidence. We were simply too tired and inexperienced as this was our first trip to China. If I have the photos, I must have made a complaint. We wasted the RM1217. I wonder how trip.com classifies this terrible house as "comfortable and special". DON'T trust it, it just spoilt your trip. How disappointing it is!
