This hotel was in an interesting part of the town, tucked away in a small alleyway next to an artsy, busy road. The common areas were extremely clean and well decorated in the new China style. They had a self-service washing machine and a terrace rooftop where you could air-dry your clothes. The room itself was somewhat clean: the bathroom had lots of grime on the walls and I found a tuff of hair on the bedsheets. Apart from that, it's a very quiet and quaint place to stay.

I would definitely recommend this place!
The hotel stay was very comfortable. It was clean & proper. The interior gives a Oriental vibes which is super refreshing as compared with your typical modern hotel looks.
It is also located so near to various place of interest which is amazing. The moment you walk out of this hotel, you're literally at the street where there's alot of survenirs & stuff. Highly recommended!

We were delighted with our stay here. The host was super friendly and helpful and it was good to know he was there to help (available through WeChat) throughout our stay. We both loved the room, which was very, very comfortable and super clean. It smelled great! The bed was so comfy I didn't want to leave! There was unlimited water in the front reception. The location of the hotel was excellent, close to everything you want as a tourist in xi'an. It was tucked up a little alley which was very cute and felt special because it was inside a calligraphy market (next door to the shop in the photo). If I stay in xi'an again, I will for sure stay here- thank you! 💖

Amazing location and price, room big and clean, has everything you need, towels, slippers and even toothbrush and comb provided. Bed was extremely comfortable. There is also a small street market as soon as you get out of the hotel and its amazing
Staff was very nice.
I would deff love to stay here again and would recommend it to everyone who stays in Xi'an!

Absolutely beautiful room and the location is fantastic! Opens straight onto a market and is close to a large shopping area. The owner was very helpful! Will definitely be staying here again!

Location was excellent though the final access to the hotel itself may be a little worrisome at first, only to find it such a uniquely little homestay with its own character. Mr Yuan(嚴 先生) at the front desk was at his best in terms of service!! The 'market place' was a real bonus in addition to its proximity to the old city wall and drum tower. Easy access by subway.

Overall, it was a good accommodation but not great as compared to my previous experience at xi an. The accommodation is located at approx 50m or less at the shu yuan men main entrance but 12 to 15 minutes away from nearby metro which is inconvenient if you carrying heavy luggage. The stairs to the 3rd floor room are small and narrow. Toilet is OK, just a bit of too wet after bath as water drainage is slow. Not recommended to family with children but good for single/youngsters/business traveller.

Staff was unbelievable, they were so helpful in everything we did, booking our Trip to the Terracotta Warriors. Telling us where to go eat in the best places, other tourist things to see. And the location was fantastic，it was right by the south gate of the city wall and not far from the bell tower drum tower and easy access.To old town and The muslim district.
Would definitely stay here again.

Really nice homestay, near the City Wall and the Bell Tower. The owner is friendly and welcoming, helping to arrange visits to the Terracota Warriors. Recommended!
