The rooms are very cool, with modern design, and the staff is extremely nice and helpful. They helped us buying tickets to see the terracota warriors (l’m not Chinese). Also, we did the check-in kind of late and my baby was hungry, so they bought some food for her at a near restaurant. I would definitely repeat this hotel :)

The location was very good and close to lots of fun shops. We found a great grocery store and ice cream shop around the corner. The owner was very helpful and very friendly. He watched out for Foreigner showing up early. The room quality was not the best, but it was functional. The beds were not hard. We were a short walk to the Metro station.

We stayed in the tatami room, which was nice, but be aware it's on the top floor (4th, I think) with no elevator. Lovely and airy, with lots of glass, but it does get hot as a result. Unfortunately we could not get the air conditioning to work on the first night, but it was fixed when we pointed it out (I'm pretty sure it was broken, as the controls were pretty simple).
The couple who ran this were very friendly, though I didn't manage to get any reply to my messages on WeChat - not a big thing, but for non-Chinese speakers, it was super useful everywhere else. The door was also shut when we arrived late (22:00 - which was when we said we'd arrive, but still late), and they'd stayed up for us.
Overall the room was perhaps not quite as nice as the photos make it look, but the friendliness of the couple running it made up for it!
