Foreigners are welcome, and I was able to check in without any problems even though I arrived at 2 a.m. The front desk staff were friendly, which made my first impression positive. The location is very close to the city center, but it's only about a block away, making it quiet and convenient for getting around.
Many Chinese hotels don't have refrigerators in their rooms, but this one does, so I can always have cold water, which was especially helpful for Koreans.
The biggest reason I chose this hotel was the in-room washing machine. While many Chinese hotels offer free laundry facilities, during peak season, they can be so busy that you have to wait until the wee hours of the morning. However, this hotel had a washing machine in the room, which was a great convenience, allowing me to do my laundry every day.

This was the worst hotel stay on the entire Northwest Ring Road self-drive tour. It really dampened my mood. There are so many hotels in Xi'an, but I chose this one on a whim. Parking was extremely difficult and I spent an hour looking for a spot. There were many small bugs in the room, and the elevator was in a shared apartment, so the wait was very long. It was called the Bell Tower Hotel, but it was actually very far from the Bell Tower. I took my advice and didn't choose this one!

The family room was too small to even fit our suitcases. We paid extra to upgrade to a two-bedroom room, but we experienced a power outage and elevator malfunction. Overall, the experience was average. After driving for over two weeks in Xi'an, this accommodation was my biggest disappointment. The value for money wasn't great. We only got two bottles of water for our two-bedroom apartment. We had our own parking space, but we weren't told in advance, and we had to search for it for ages. We were given one room card for electricity, and then asked for another. We also had to pay a deposit. The deposit wasn't returned at check-out, and we had to call the hotel over two hours after we left to get it refunded.
