Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham Grand Rapids Near Downtown

The price was good. Staff was cocky. Submitted a pre-check on the evening before arrival, informing them we would arrive at 3:00 pm. Arrived and, before even greeting us, the check-in clerk stated “no rooms are ready. They’re still being cleaned.” Then, he asked which hotel we were staying at (it was a split brand hotel). Told him we found it had to believe that, every single room wasn’t ready at the very time of check in and if I submitted my arrival time, what good was it? He went into the back for awhile, came back and printed out a booking sheet. He verbalized our room number handed us a room card and turned away. No greeting or thanking us for our stay…nothing. At checkout, he was at the desk again. I said checking out of room “$$$” and he said “all set bye bye.” And turned away. If they had a personable and mannerly employee working the desk, they would get more customers. We won’t stay there again. Area surrounding to hotel felt unsafe. No nearby food. It’s not worth the savings. Room annd bathroom were unclean, but the beds were very comfortable.

The floor in our room wasn’t vacuumed. The table was very wobbly. The pool was closed. The toilet seat was loose. Ice was only available on the third floor. The digital clock was broken. We needed three towel sets, but had two. This is not a 5 star property, so I expected some of this. The staff was helpful, the bed was clean and comfortable, the soap, shampoo, and conditioner smelled amazing. The laundry was efficient.

This property is not fit to stay in at all. Dirty, nasty, disgusting, and super unsafe. I dont know how it has not been shut down. The pool was closed from health inspector during our stay. Black on the wall from an electrical FIRE!!! Broken tile. Toilet water leaking under the floor boards in our room. Never would I stay here again.

We stayed 1 night for tulip time and we moved to different one in St. Joe for they next 2 nights. The pool was closed no hot tub. The carpet had burn marks in carpet, curtain liner had holes in them, the lounger had a torn spot. Next thing bathroom vent was very dirty, faucet in shower drips all the time, the tub looked like someone had done big scrapes on it, the faucet handle came if in my hand

Homeless people everywhere inside and outside the hotel. Property is not well maintained.

Rude manager(day manager) Wouldnt give me 2 room keys... even tho i was supposed to have 2 keys. 3rd shift did give me 2 keys. Was very rude and inconvenient And wasnt cleaned well at all
