Affordable Family Friendly Accommodation & just 15 mins. along the Great Ocean Road from Lorne. Wye Dream is a classic older style beach house (it used to be the Surf Life Saving Club Bunkhouse), we love it & so will you, with open plan living area/kitchen, a wood fire and two decks both with views of the waves. Comfortable lounge with Plasma TV & toy box for the kids. Upstairs are two bedrooms with bush and sea views. The larger bedroom has a queen bed and a set of bunks & trundle bed, and the second bedroom has a queen size bed. Everything is within easy walking distance, only a 100 metres to the beach and The General Store (great coffee)and a further 100 metres to the Wye River Pub. You can leave the car in the driveway and forget about parking problems. Great for a family or two couples. Leave the busy city behind and relax in this spacious 2 bedroom beach house. "Excellent location for a stop by along the ocean road, 15 minutes drive to Apollo bay, quiet little property located at the foot of mountain and facing the sea, with fantastic ocean view and interesting rock and sand beach
The staff were very helpful and friendly and the room of bay view is spacious with a small sitting room and all necessary utensils
People just need to bring necessary food and drink to cook for themselves as there is a bit distance from the town center
A little advice though: please provide air-conditioner for the accommodations as it’s pretty hot in summer in the room. It’s not comfortable and the guest cannot sleep well in the summer heat"

"Facing the bay, it is the best hotel nearby. The price is a bit expensive, and there are many parrots on the balcony. There are also many places to eat near the hotel, but I feel that there seems to be nothing to do in this place. It is more appropriate to stay in Apollo Bay. I have never stayed there, so it is difficult to compare and evaluate. Lorne locals strongly recommend this hotel"

"We felt well here. The location is great, you can look directly at the beach and the sea. The room was clean. It is old-fashioned, but functionally well equipped. The lady at the reception was super friendly. We would stay here again."

"We recently stayed at the Lorne Mantra as a group of four adults with a child, and it was a truly comfortable and enjoyable experience. The location is ideal—just a short stroll to the beach and conveniently close to local shops. The facilities are excellent, with a lovely swimming pool, well-maintained tennis court, and a kids room that kept our little one happily entertained. The accommodation suited our needs perfectly and provided a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere for the whole group. Highly recommended for families or groups looking for a great coastal getaway."

"Feelings: The hotel is in the forest 5 minutes drive from the town of Lorne. We saw wild kangaroos, cockatoos and eagle here. In terms of safety, the hotel has more than a dozen independent houses, and the popularity is high. The old couple of the hotel owner live in the house in the center of the hotel, so the friends in the city quickly bring the children to feel it. The wild kangaroo looked great and powerful, and the zoo was much better."

"The room was very good, but too quiet at night, probably because it was the off-season. I initially thought that we were the only family staying at the hotel. I was a little scared when I couldn't see anyone smoking at the door at night. I didn't know until the next day that there were other guests nearby. I saw wild kangaroos, but the entrance was hard to find. I initially thought I had taken the wrong road. It was really wild."
