Overnight stay on our way back home from France. Chosen due to proximity to the tunnel. Will definitely stay again. Comfy rooms and a cosy pub. Friendly service and very welcoming to our two dogs. They even managed to squeeze us in for Sunday roast at late notice. Food was excellent.

We often visit Wye and this is the 2nd time we have stayed at The New Flying Horse and its safe to say, it was just as good as the first time. Rooms are really comfy and tastefully furnished. The ensuite bathrooms are really spacious and just like the rooms, spotlessly clean. This was the first time we had stayed during the summer months and having completed a lovely walk, it was just fantastic to sit in the pub garden while sinking a few pints. We ate out in the evening but really wished we hadn't. We have eaten in the pub restaurant before and on reflection wished we had chosen to eat there again as the food before was gorgeous. Breakfast was great, there's a good selection and it set us up for the journey home. I know we will return again soon as this is a great pub in a really lovely village.

I didn't have an evening meal here but I did stay overnight and had breakfast. My room in the stable block was clean, very comfortable and well appointed. The bathroom is large and very clean, and the facilities are all modern. My breakfast was delicious, well prepared with local ingredients and the quality was obvious. The staff were friendly and conscientious throughout my stay. There was a warm and welcoming atmosphere. I would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for accomodation in the area.

I was recently working in the area so stayed here for two nights. My room was quite small but cosy and had everything I needed. The breakfast was really delicious and set me up perfectly for the day, there was also a lot of tasty choices for breakfast. Staff were friendly and I enjoyed my stay.

Firstly it’s a building site which was not mentioned when booking. Covered in scaffolding and with an unpleasant full skip by rooms and garden. Booked stable block room which was only just big enough for the double bed. Decor fine and nice bathroom. The room was dark with one small window.it is right on the access drive so all entering and leaving go right past the door. Big garden area but uninspiring, old benches, no lovely flower beds, lots of grass, Arrived Sunday afternoon to find no food after 4.30 so forced to go out to eat. Won’t be coming back.

A very welcoming and comfortable inn well located in the attractive Wye Valley. The room was clean and comfortable. Quiet until some less considerate fellow guests starting slamming doors around 7 but no fault of the hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful and breakfast was outstanding. All in all a very pleasant experience which we look forward to repeating.

We stayed here before driving to France the next day and it was a truly fantastic experience. The landlord was so attentive in the evening, recommending wines and letting us try when we couldn’t decide. The atmosphere in the pub was great, we wished we had got there earlier to have dinner. Our room was lovely, all the amenities we needed, my only complaint would be a bit of noise from a neighbouring room. The breakfast was AMAZING. They were really accommodating about has needing to leave early and the food was high quality, really tasty. Excellent service is so unusual these days. We would definitely come back again.

It’s almost always nice here, but today’s visit was spoiled by a solo guy sitting in the corner that seemed to have an opinion on anything. He was also vaping and therefore sending clouds of stinking vapour into the atmosphere which I believe is illegal indoors, however he was allowed to do this in full view of the bar staff who said nothing at all. Perhaps he owns the place.
