After an initial hiccup with the first hotel booking, Trip.com customer service helped me to find another hotel close to the first one. Marriott Hotel Wuxi Luneng was that one. And it really helped to recover what had been a not too good start to my weekend in Wuxi. I stayed in a Premier Lakeside King-size room. As the name suggests it has a balcony giving a great view of the Yuantouzhu scenic park and Lake Taihu. The room itself is best described by photos and I will save me typing too much. I had the breakfast which has a lot of choice and if you have time you can relax in there for a while and make it a brunch. There is a 7x24 gym on the B1 level, a swimming pool and sauna too. All in all I recommend this as a good hotel to stay for a long weekend to see Yuantouzhu scenic park (only a five minute taxi drive away) and other areas of Wuxi.

This is my second time staying here. The environment of the hotel is outstanding, with a huge garden where I can stroll around for a long time. It was originally part of Liyuan, but now it is also separated by a gate. The housing facilities in the old building are relatively old and new, and there are no balconies. It is recommended to live in the new building in Building B. If you book a package, you will receive travel photography and Liyuan tickets. The little girl at the front desk was very nice. Seeing that we didn't want to go to Liyuan, she took the initiative to suggest that we switch to boat tickets to Yuantouzhu. Travel photographer Feifei took a lot of great photos for me in half an hour, which was great! Attached picture 🌷

Really helpful and attentive staff - reception is quick and helpful and the rooms are serviced daily. Good location with balconies overlooking the lake and easy access to the lakefront area, as well as nearby parks and mountain day walks. There is a downstairs area with a large pool table and similar entertainments. On the downside, we didn't find any shops nearby (walking distance) except for small convenience stores with limited supplies. The hotel restuarant wasn't open when we went looking and our room had clearly been used by a smoker (even though we booked a non-smoking room).

It was very good to check in at 8 o'clock in the morning. The double bed is converted into a standard room, but two beds are pushed together. It's better than a big bed, and a shuttle bus will be on hand to deliver it to the door when you leave. Hygiene: It is clean and tidy. There is a small courtyard on the first floor, the floor is clean, and the sheets are dry and not wet. Environment: The scenic area is surrounded by green trees. Even though you are in the scenic area, you can rest in the room without feeling the noise of the tourist groups in the scenic area. The breakfast area is not big but you can eat a lot. The boiled eggs are very fresh and the red soup noodles are freshly cooked. Service: The front desk treats guests politely and highly praises the unknown WeChat service staff. We started contacting them ten days before booking and sent out guides the day before. I only stayed in Yuantouzhu for a half day and basically asked WeChat customer service about everything, no matter the time. , answer all questions, help with everything, and answer patiently, thank you very much! The picture shows that it is very close to the pier and is very convenient. The sight of seagulls is also a credit to the customer service staff who patiently answered questions.

The hotel is located on the shore of Lihu Lake. The scenery outside the hotel is beautiful. I went for a run around the lake in the morning. The air was fresh.
