Remember the first time I quickly "escaped" from a hotel.
1. At 6:10, the "security guard" and the "drunk man" swipe their universal cards to enter.
My companion and I were still sleeping in bed at 6:10 in the morning on the third day of our stay (July 12). We vaguely heard the sound of a card swiping at the door, but Didi did not swipe it open. The next thing I heard was someone swiping the card again to open the door and come in, but was blocked by the door chain. The man who opened the door said, "There is someone inside." I looked at each other when the door opened, but the room didn't turn on the lights and I couldn't see clearly. I just knew It was a man, and at this point they closed the door and left. (We hung up the door chain and locked the door before going to bed the night before. Highlight the key points. Doubt 3⃣️ is useful)
👉The hotel explained that the man who opened the door was a security guard, and the other was a hungover "guest" who swiped the wrong card and opened the wrong door. (This explanation is full of holes and unconvincing)
👉Doubtful points: 1⃣️The so-called "security". This hotel does not have a separate parking lot or security booth, and there is no hotel-specific security guard. Moreover, this "security guard" does not wear a uniform, but wears a white T-shirt and vest (I saw him wearing it during the negotiation later), and he does not even look like a hotel employee. 2⃣️The so-called "hangover guests". First, if it is check-in, the hotel check-in is always around 12 o'clock. The incident happened at 6 o'clock in the morning. There is no strange reason such as "guests forget their room number and need to bring it with them" when negotiating with me at the front desk. If you are a guest who is already staying here, you should be led by the "guest's companion" or the "front desk", not the "security guard". Second, after the door was opened, I immediately opened the door and chased him out to see who it was. I saw no one. There was no smell of alcohol in the door or corridor, and the two of them moved quickly. It was not like they were so drunk that they didn't even reach their own room. People you know. 3⃣️Swipe your card twice. According to hotel manager Chen's monitoring, the first time he swiped the "guest" room card but it could not be opened, and the second time he swiped the "security card". According to the confirmation with the cleaning and manager Chen, when the door is locked, the cleaning card cannot be swiped to open, and my own room card cannot be swiped to open - but the security guard's universal card can actually swipe to open the locked door! How terrifying! The security card has such high permissions. Why does the security need a universal card? !
❓Negotiation about the hotel.
1⃣️First negotiation. After the incident happened at 6:10, I immediately contacted the front desk and asked for an explanation. The front desk said to contact the leader immediately. When we went to the front desk to negotiate with Manager Chen at 8:30, the manager obviously didn’t know what happened. Later during the negotiation, he said that he had heard about this incident at about 6 o’clock and he hadn’t slept until now (?), which means that 6 During the period from -8 o'clock, the manager did not understand the reason and did not know how to deal with it. The negotiation process was very difficult. The professionalism of hotel personnel management is worrying. Let me mention the front desk again. The front desk explained that the incident happened because she left to go to the toilet. There was only one person on duty in this hotel, so emergencies are very problematic.
During the first negotiation, we asked to leave the hotel early and get a refund for the room and meal charges we didn't stay in. The hotel was very ambiguous about this and wanted us to continue staying. Who would dare to stay with such a safety hazard? We made it clear that we couldn't stay and had already booked another hotel. Normally, we were very reluctant to get a refund because we couldn't stay. In the end, I had to ask Ctrip customer service to handle the refund myself. (The first negotiation lasted 15 minutes and no acceptable solution was proposed)
2⃣️The second negotiation. It was already past 11 a.m. when we were preparing to leave the store. Our two little girls had a fast heart rate, dizziness and headaches because of the fright in the morning, so we wanted to leave early. At this time, the hotel manager said that he would make amends and compensate for this matter, and finally refunded all our room fees.
3⃣️After the negotiation is over. The manager also asked us many times what hotel we had booked and what plans we had for coming to Wuxi, which was scary.
2. Other issues
Under the premise of the above security issues, other issues seem not worth mentioning. But having said the same thing, I’ll just mention it. After all, when we negotiated, the manager was very happy and grateful for our valuable suggestions:
1⃣️The sound insulation effect is extremely poor.
We stayed in this hotel for a total of 2 nights. On the first night, we heard a very noisy sound next door. We later learned that it was a team building event, so we gave up. The second night was the most outrageous. A woman next door kept crying until 10:30 in the evening.
During the day, you can also hear strange sounds coming from a place similar to the community activity center next to it. (guess it’s singing or some kind of recording playing on a loop)
You can hear the sounds of people coming and going in the corridor almost constantly. I suffer from neurasthenia and could hardly fall asleep during the two nights I stayed.
2⃣️The facilities in the house are poor.
One thing to say, the hotel is very new, the facilities are very new, and the health condition is very good.
However, the design of the bathroom is unreasonable. If you take a bath for a while, the water will overflow. Not to mention the toilet, which needs to be flushed manually...
The most exaggerated thing was their TV. We couldn't turn it on on the first night. We had never seen such a complicated TV startup in their house. After asking the front desk, the person who came to help us turned out to be a male clerk (yes, their general manager). He walked into the door of the female customer's room at night without telling us in advance. The reason was that he felt that the female employee would not be able to handle this. A technical issue…
3⃣️Breakfast was perfunctory.
I didn’t have any hope for a breakfast worth more than 30 yuan, but the breakfast here was ridiculously sloppy. We went late on the first day, and there was no seat at 8 o'clock. We went the second time around 8:30, thinking that someone else had finished eating and didn't have time to fill up, so we didn't get anything to eat. The next day we went when the doors opened at 7 o'clock, but there was still nothing. Several insulated boxes were very empty...
