The hongbo inn owner (秋姐) was very accommodating, helpful and friendly! It was easy to liaise with her for our accommodation, transportation, meals and leisure activities. She helped us arrange everything basically. Communication was smooth as her mandarin was easy to understand. When asked, she recommended the ideal itinerary to us: from Harbin near our hotel to snow town 雪乡 (6hour bus ride) -＞ enjoy snow town until evening -＞ from snow town to hongbo inn at snow valley 雪谷 (3hour bus ride) -＞ overnight stay at hongbo inn -＞ hongbo inn to WuSongLin 雾凇岭 -＞ enjoy winter recreational activities ski/sled/atv/picturesque scenery -＞ WuSongLin back to hongbo inn -＞ hongbo inn back to Harbin (5hour bus ride).

Shengshi Jiayuan Hostel is far away from Harbin Snow Town about 2 hours by bus 🚌 We went there from 30 Dec 24 - 1 Jan 25 📅 I recommend ⭐⭐⭐ to whoever likes to stay in a local place. It's a good place, not many people and a lot of things to do. Staff are very friendly, like family. You need to pay 400 Yuan to do activities and you will pay 50 Yuan to rent helmets and glasses for skiing. The first activity is to take a photo of the mountain 🗻, Second activity is to Ski 🏂( you can ski as many times as you can ), Third activity is to ride a Snowmobile, and 5 more activities (ride a horse sled and dog sled not included in the activity of 400 yuan)

The room is clean and tidy. There heater is functioning well. There is small slope just beside the hotel and you can sled with tube at anytime. The host is very nice and understanding. I’m a muslim so she ask me what I can eat and what I can’t eat. She also prepare plain mantao and plain porridge for breakfast because she knows I’m a muslim. During night time the host prepared fire crackers for us . She also invited us to try traditional attire and we had fun taking picture with the attire. The host suggested a trip to Bear Hill and that was the best moment in 2024.

We, a family of five, with 3 kids aged 2,4&6 had a very very good time in this guesthouse. The host was really helpful and attended to our spontaneous queries and requests almost immediately. They helped us to arrange a last minute transport from 长白山 to their guesthouse on market rate. As it was rather on the beginning of the peak season, we were the only guest when we first arrived. They offered to bring us to 雾松岭 foc. They also offered to bring us to their new guesthouse which is at another village to walk around. The overall feeling of the stay in their guesthouse, or in 雪谷 itself was awesome. The view was just stunning probably thanks to the heavy snow we encountered. You can see a combination of agriculture and hospitality lifestyle in 雪谷 comparing to a pure commercialized 雪乡, which is right next to it.

Very satisfied. The location is very good, in the center of the street. The lady boss was very patient to answer all our questions and help us to book a car. The B&B is very beautiful. She also told us that there is a beautiful view in the back mountain. The room is also very clean. There is also a dog that looks like a sheep. Highly recommended.

The host is very kind & friendly. The room have no space to open luggage but can open on the bed as the bed is big. For muslim might be need to pray on the bed as the floor space quite small , also the toilet is also small. This hotel is a bit far from center area (10 min by car from centre) where the center area is a bit more happening. No halal shop in this area , can bring your own food/rte. The host deal with the owner of husky ride (60yuan/pax) & horse carriage (100yuan/pax) but actually there is a horse carriage that can get for 60yuan/pax 😌 Be sure to negotiate direct with the horse & husky owner after see them/him. Snow valley got two park to play winter activities. The owner will suggest the near one which is 400 yuan with snowmobile ride ( but actually can be 200yuan without snowmobile ride so be sure to tell them as they might not told you). The other park is 45 min from this hotel which is wusongling/rime ridge (more famous )which the area is more big than the other park with price 400yuan for snowmobile and other winter activities. The difference between both park is that the area & activities provided.

The other hotel I booked was unavailable for one night, so my friend helped me choose this one. I chose this hotel after seeing the pictures of the bathroom with separate dry and wet rooms. The room was very big. It was night when I arrived. They were all single-family homes. The outside space was very large. It was very Suitable for self-driving, there is a place to park, but the toilet faces the window. The bathroom is too cold, and the hot water for bathing is not hot enough. I use a storage-type electric water heater. It is recommended to replace it, otherwise the experience will be too bad. The bathroom is already cold. The fire pit was used. The fire place was at the door of the bathroom. When I entered, there was a crackling sound from the fire. I was so scared that I closed the iron door. After closing it, I found that the fire was out. I quickly called someone from the inn to deal with it. The response was very quick. The service is also very good

I rarely comment on others, but I must comment on this B&B, because I have never had such a good experience. The B&B is clean and tidy. I booked a room that traveled through the 1980s. When I entered the room, I saw the Northeast hot kang with a large Northeast floral quilt, which made us experience the characteristics of the Northeast. The owner also provided a large floral jacket for free so that we could take pictures in the room. We originally wanted to stay overnight and go to Xuexiang the next day. We arrived in the morning so we had nothing to do in the afternoon. The owner saw that we wanted to play in the snow and took us to a snow field in the Snow Valley. It was so cheap. For 200 yuan, you can play a lot of projects (snow banana boat, snow bike, bumper ball, snowmobile, snow ring, and skiing). All are included. You can play as you like. We were rolling in the snow. The owner also took me pictures with an aerial camera for free. The owner and the owner's wife are really nice. I was going to Xuexiang the next day, but I heard from tourists who had been there that it was very expensive and they didn't allow me to play in the snow. The attitude was not very good. I gave up the idea of ​​going to Xuexiang immediately. The next day, I asked the boss to recommend something. The boss recommended Gouxiongling. It was really beautiful. I felt that my mobile phone couldn't capture its beauty. The most important thing was that the ticket price of 400 yuan also included all entertainment activities including skiing, and the service attitude inside was super good. The emotional value was full and they helped you take pictures for free. This trip was the happiest one. At night, I returned to the homestay and ordered one or two authentic Northeastern dishes. It was a perfect day. Thanks to the boss and the boss's wife for taking care of us and chatting with us at night. They also treated us to frozen pears, frozen persimmons and ice cream. I was so touched. They made us feel the enthusiasm of the Northeastern people. Thank you, brother and sister, I will definitely come again next time. Because it was so fun to play in the snow this time. This is the most satisfying and memorable place in the whole trip. The journey is over, but I still miss the Xiaoyun Farmhouse in Xuegu. The innkeeper and the proprietress are a handsome couple and every local who entertained us is very enthusiastic. It feels like returning to my hometown. There are also fun facilities around, and the space is not small. I like it very much, because I don’t like the feeling of oppression in a small space. Fortunately, I chose the right inn and the innkeeper and the proprietress are talkative. The beautiful scenery of Wusongling (Gouxiongling) recommended by the innkeeper’s wife simply stunned me. Once I arrived at the top, it was like a fairyland in a TV series. I was so excited that I wanted to go again. It is more cost-effective than other scenic spots.
