Worthing Seafront

We were put in Room 10 ( after not a great start with no one on reception ) . It smelt damp with filthy curtain. The member of staff who agreed with the room not being satisfactory was heard , less than half an hour later , putting someone else into the room ! I was surprised that there are no longer glasses in the room ( just two glass mugs ) and if you want the room cleaned , you have to ask reception . Different to my experience in lots of other Premier Inns . On a positive note , we were at the back of the hotel so very quiet .

Front of Hotel looked tired, expected for a Seafront building. Welcoming Reception and Staff attentive. Given Room Key and headed towards room 18. Corridors seemed exceptionally cold, entered room and the room was less cold but not warm. I increased the electric heater… got prepared for food. Went to Hotel Restaurant, very cold again. Ordered food and a drink… sat watching TV waiting for my food. Food arrived, tasted ok but went cold very quickly. Couldn’t sit in the cold so left to my room. Entered room, room was still little more than tepid. Got into bed fully clothed, TV kept loosing signal. I made a drink, I noticed either excrement or food on the curtain… 🤢 and mould to the top of the window frame, I then got the additional Duvet to try to warm up. Fell asleep but awoke around 0230 freezing cold. The heater had gone off… put it back on and managed to get back to sleep. Awoke again at 0630, ahead of alarm. Got into bed fully he Shower but got out again as it wasn’t warm, tepid in fact 😡 couldn’t watch TV as it was still no signal. I had booked and paid for breakfast but didn’t wish to repeat the evening previous experience of being sat in the cold, so I missed it and went straight to work early. All in all a real let down, one which I won’t be repeating.

This lovely traditional hotel sits on the sea front located near to the beach restaurants and town. There can be some noise from the road and the floors and bathroom extractor fans are quite noisy. Staff were very polite and helpful. We were able to take our dog into our room and breakfast once ordered taken to our room to eat.
