Premier Inn, Worksop A newer Premier Inn. Good point: The horrible bath with the plastic shower curtain & old-style overhead shower found in the older Premier Inns has been replaced with a shower enclosure (room enough for two) with proper thermostatic controls with overhead + wand options (good for keeping hair dry). Bad point: Windows don't open, so rooms surfused with stuffy air force fed circuation via noisy fans. Didn't help that the laminated sheet showing how the controls worked didn't match the actual control device. Even if it had, the air would still be stuffy. Eccentric: The address isn't known (at the time of writing) to Google Maps. The directions are from the railway station. Does anyone go to an out-of-town Premier Inn by train? Directions are confusing & complicated and ignore the fact that the hotel is just off the next roundabout North of the A60 / A57 junction. Just look for the big "KFC / Dunkin' / Taco Bell" sign.

Just got to the Premier Inn after a 5 hour drive from Hell. I was suffering excruciating sciatica from being in the car for that period of time. We got to reception and were told we could check in to our room as it was 2:40 and room not free. We explained the situation and was told that if we paid a further £15:00 we could have the room 20 minutes early. (So the room was ready) We tried to appeal to the receptionists better nature but were met with a frosty unsympathetic responce despite explaining. I am currently sat in pain in the car waiting to be allowed to take our room Sadly another example of “computer says no” We travel to Worksop regularly and stopped using the travel inn because of experiences previous. I guess we will be using The Lion from now on

The hotel room was actually good - with air con and a refrigerator and the reception staff were as helpful as they could be. However, I was charged £49 too much for adding a meal deal via the customer service line. The hotel has a policy of only one hand towel between 2 people (according to the receptionist) - which was not great as I was sharing a room with a friend, not my husband or family. Having advised reception that we wanted the room serviced, we discovered that the bed was not made and the spare toilet roll holder was left empty.

Stayed here as a mid point stopover. Ate an evening meal in the Beefeater attached to the venue. There my wife and I were very impressed by the excellent customer service skills shown by Charlotte.Though clearly young she has an excellent manner and was a credit to The company. Everything else was up to the usual high standards one xomes to expect from Premier Inn
