Stayed for 3 nights and loved it. Room was so comfortable, well furnished and plenty of room and a sea view. Breakfasts were very good with lots of choices and ample hot options . Dinners were great and the desserts even better. Hosts and staff were so friendly. Prepared us a takeaway breakfast on the last day as we were leaving early to get the ferry. Highly recommended. Ample parking too.

The food and sevice was abysmal. Firstly the roast came dry with very little gravy Secondly the potatoes were old and inedible Thirdly No greens or vegetables with the meal My gammon steak resembled a shrivelled burnt piece of bacon. My brother’s gammon looked ok but was tough and unappetising The service was poor and there was a long wait for our food When settling up we politely enumerated the above faults which were acknowledged by the manager by saying “Oh “ No deduction on the bill was offered. A total disgrace

Right. Another “patron”here who will avoid the place due to car park fine. I am really sorry your car park has been abused by some people but sadly I don’t feel it should be my problem? Our 60 min visit ended up with 100 £ fine. And no , no one pointed out that anything has to be done to avoid the car park ticket. No we have not actively looked for boards with information because we never do it when going for a meal to the pub? And honestly - replying the same stuff to multiple customers who got trapped with that fine is not going to improve the situation.

We stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed every second from a friendly welcome when we arrived to a cheery goodbye when we left. After a short walk from the ferry, you arrive at The Fishbourne, greeted by genuinely friendly staff who are more than happy to show you to your room. Our room was huge, with an en-suite bathroom and toiletries. Shower was powerful and the water hot. Lovely. Bottled water, tea and coffee making facilities in the room, with a pack of 2 biscuits. A very nice touch. A large bed with plenty of sockets to charge our devices, but do remember to bring a suitable plug and cable. Lots of storage in the room and enough hangers for our clothes so we were quickly unpacked and feeling at home. Loved the view out of the window across the Solent, we even saw a couple of cruise ships after they had left Southampton. Breakfast was tasty, whether it was from the cold selection on offer or the freshly made cooked. Really tasty sausages. Homemade granola was especially good as were the pastries. Service was always quick and the cooked food served piping hot. We loved our stay and can’t wait to return. Getting around the island by bus was easy and cheap with a stop about a 10 minute walk. We even found a scenic woodland walk to visit Ryde. Definitely recommend.

I cycled to this pub and sat outside drinking non alcoholic beer. A good friend of mine joined me and parked in the car park. She is recovering from breast cancer surgery and was in an extremely emotional state. We chatted and cried for 40 minutes then parted. 2 Weeks later she received the parking fine. We called the pub and were told ‘appeal to the company we have no way of recalling this fine’. £100 or £60 if we pay straight away. My friend is broken hearted, they are now making a criminal of her.

Staff were rude. Coffee was cold. People were complaining about food not being cooked properly, and cold, bacon was not crispy, bread was stale. Then to top that went in back entrance for my coffee (which was Luke warm) no visible signs anywhere, and got a parking ticket for parking and using their pub. Beware as staff don't invite or suggest to customers to register vehicles, just want every penny out of you. Never go there again, everyone is complaining about this place, it has gone down hill & needs sorting.

We have been stopping at this Inn several times a year on our way to and from the island. About 19 months ago the Inn put in new parking restrictions so that you had to pay if you parked but were not a customer. On 20th May we had a meal and when we arrived home we had a £100 parking fine. We had missed or misunderstood the signs. The bar staff are taking your order but not asking whether you have checked your car reg. no into a machine at corner of the bar. Spoke to the Manager who said his staff did ask you to register! The food is ok but this has left a nasty taste in the mouth and the lack of concern from the manager makes it unlikely that we will be returning any time soon.
