"Had an overnight layover at JFK and didn’t want to just sleep in the airport. Searching for something cheaper than what is at the airport and close by that included a free shuttle to/from airport and found this place. Shuttle service: Not sure but runs either on the hour or every 30 mins. Called for pickup after passing customs and retrieving luggage and waited about 20 mins. Took another 25 or so minutes to get to hotel since the shuttle went to multiple terminals to pickup others. Going to the airport we signed up for the 9AM shuttle which left in a timely manner and went straight to our terminal - which took around 15 minutes with traffic. Hotel: Nothing special here. It’s a 2 star hotel. Room size was good and AC was nice and cool. Quality is what I expected for a 2 star hotel. Continental Breakfast is included: choice of 2 juices, 3 cereals, bananas, coffee, tea and 4 or so different breads. If I had a layover at JFK again I would consider staying there again, although for the price I paid I would have expected more "

"Hotel Mint is right next to Far Rockaway Mott station. Basically just take the A train and it’s a straight shot to Manhattan. Also, there’s plenty of restaurants in the area so you won’t go hungry. Hotel service was very good, the staff was extremely hospitable and was a very smooth and easy experience. I recommend this place if you’re looking for something affordable fresh off the plane and need a place to lay your head."

"The staff was ever so helpful. It was a last minute request and they jumped right in it. The room was clean and well organized. The lobby area was welcoming. I wasn't thrilled with breakfast but it had good staples. Coffee was the main thing for me. Anyway, id choose this location again and again. Thank you."

Breakfast was standard; while the selection wasn't extensive, it was sufficient to fill up. Overall, it was a consistent stay with no particularly outstanding pros or cons, making it suitable for travelers with moderate expectations. The availability of a shuttle service was a definite plus."
