5* food absolutely gorgeous and lovely staff. We stopped in for lunch on the Saturday and was amazed by the hospitality and food. Consequently we were back with the family for the Sunday roast and again amazing food, love that you can see the kitchen and food being prepared, the chefs are great and also talk to the customers. Lucy served us both days and what a lovely welcome and service. DEFINITELY our new place to go, it’s a hidden gem. Thanks to a great team for a great visit. Keep it up! We have recommend you to anyone in the area.

The food here is absolutely amazing and staff are so friendly and welcoming. We been a few times now are are always made welcome. This time we stayed in the Horsebox for a birthday treat. The hot tub was a lovely touch and great location for some rest and relaxation. Breakfasts were 1st class as was the roast dinners. 10/10. Will be going again soon. Perfect hideaway if you need to get away from it all and relax. Barry and Amanda

The a**osphere is next level incredible, the smell of the log burner the fairy lights, books table setting perfect music choices Then add that with the service from every member of staff we had the honour of meeting and then the food there just are not enough nice words to say about this place it was incredible we was made to feel welcome from the minute we stepped in and we will definitely be returning, would recommend to everyone. Just a special place to cherish

Hands down, the best roast dinner I've ever tasted! We had takeaway roast from their old venue many times during lockdown, which was unbelievably good and it is now our go to location whenever we want a roast! Other pub roasts feel like cheap ready meals once you've tried this one!!

I wasn’t expecting much from a little pub in the middle of no were but I was recommended by a few of my friends and thought I would give it a try it was incredible my waitress was absolutely splendid I believe her name is bethan she was so helpful and patient with me and my hubby wonderfully food we will definitely be back

Top notch service and top notch food. Especially that young girl. I think her name was Kate of Katie. Very helpful and service with a smile. We asked for her recommendation for food and the steak was recommended. Simply perfect. Will definitely be back

Tbh I didn't expect much from a very last minute booking easter Sunday for the family...but Boy how wrong was i? From the warm welcome, attentive friendly service, little treats for the children, a spotless table and fast service. Then the food came. Superb. We were near the open kitchen and could see the chef and his crew working hard, but also smiling and having fun. Ross and Jason were fabulous and came out for a chat with people and children. Beer great, service superb and food spot on. Big portions of quality food with identity, Thanks guys. We will definitely be back.

This was our 2nd visit to the Dog and Castle and once again another perfect meal. John the owner has made this pub in to a wonderful place to visit. The chef Ross was friendly made us a very delicious meal. Lovely a**osphere and welcoming. Well worth a visit

Superb food, well kept beer, and a great big friendly welcome, what more can ask for in a village pub. Unusually for the local pubs and restaurants the Dog and Castle allow and welcome dogs into the pub, tonight Chef Ross was the favourite with my two dogs as he brought them a couple of treats,.although Lucy our server was equally good. I highly recommend this hidden gem of a pub, you must try the fish and chips, fresh cooked and with the most amazing batter Also you must try the Sunday roast, it's award winning for a reason it's incredible
