Hotel Denkmal 13 Wismar

Very nice, old house in the immediate vicinity of the old town and the port. Very friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast was good and sufficient, but not as a buffet as described, but served at the table on a small cake stand. Not everything offered as freshly prepared on a place card was also available (example, in addition to egg dishes, small sausages were also offered, which were not available). Free parking is very limited in the narrow streets. 4 of the hotel's own parking spaces can be reserved for €8.00 per day. However, these parking spaces are only recommended for experienced drivers, as the gate entrance is extremely narrow and it is also extremely narrow in the backyard. You have to be very careful not to damage your vehicle. Our room (comfort room!) under the roof was large, but the bed area was only accessible via 2 steps and was no more than 1.50 meters high. With my height of 1.86 m I had to "crawl into bed" and be careful not to hit my head. The bed height itself was a maximum of 30 cm from the floor. I don't know how older people or people with limited mobility are supposed to get along here! There was nothing to read about this when booking and none of the many pictures shows anything like it. I would never have booked it like that and that gave the stay a negative aftertaste! Is something like that even allowed for a hotel room? The shower and bath is accessible via a fairly steep staircase in the room. My wife found the picture of the back of a naked lady on the shower wall disturbing, it certainly didn't match the style of the house.

The small Hotel Denkmal 13 is very well located in the old town of Wismar. The sights are within easy walking distance. A very individual small hotel awaits the guests with very endearing facilities and a lot of sense for details. The hotel owners take care of the guests in an excellent way - a special highlight is the breakfast in the room with an open fireplace. All of the guest's wishes for an exceptional breakfast are fulfilled. Go to Wismar and experience a great hotel in a very beautiful city.

Ein sehr schönes Haus mit viel Charm. Einem wunderschönen kleinen Innenhof. Sehr zentral gelegen. Das Frühstück wird auf Etageren serviert. Sehr freundlichen Personal. Da es ein denkmalgeschütztes Haus ist, ist einiges nicht "perfekt", aber das ist ja gerade das schöne daran.

Dem Personal würde ich tatsächlich 5 volle Punkte geben. Der Service ist super. Fragen werden kompetent beantwortet. Das Frühstück ist abwechslungsreich, sehr anspruchsvoll zubereitet, Wünsche zu den Speisen werden schnell und herzlich umgesetzt. Allerdings war unser Zimmer nicht so toll. Das Bett war furchtbar. Eine sehr weiche, durchgelegene Matratze von IKEA (keine Vermutung - stand auf dem Etikett), welche auch nicht maßgerecht zum Bett gepasst hat. Also gute 3 cm freie Sicht zwischen Bettrahmen und Matratze. Das Bettzeug war entsprechend. Extrem weiches Kissen. Nichts für Menschen ab Ü40, oder mit Nackenproblemen usw. Die Bettbezüge fand ich für den Zimmerpreis auch sehr enttäuschend. Obwohl das Personal jeden Morgen die Betten frisch aufgeschlagen hat, ist die Bettwäsch beim zu Bett gehen nach spät. 10 Minuten wieder verrutscht, weil weder Knöpfe noch Reißverschluss vorhanden waren. Einfach nur billig ... ich sag mal so: Jedes Krankenhaus hat gescheitere Bettwäsche als dieses Hotel. Und dass eine Dusche einfach so mitten im Raum steht, ist für manch Reisende vielleicht auch interessant. Für uns als Paar war es kein Problen. Aber falls junge Menschen gemeinsam reisen, ohne eine Beziehung, könnte es tatsächlich eine unangenehme Sache sein. Die Lage des Hotels ist super, man ist direkt am Hafen und der Altstadt.

Ausgezeichnete Lage, sehr freundliches Personal, SUPER Frühstück und tolles Ambiente extra Wünsche wurden gern erfüllt und wir hatten eine gute Zeit in Wismar auch das Parken in der Nähe war preislich erträglich. Spitzenmässig auch das freie WLAN.
