What a find! Mere Brook house is a fine Victorian house, centrally located on the Wirral, in a lovely peaceful location, yet close to Chester and the M53. We had a spacious and elegantly furnished room with an extremely comfortable king bed. There are views of the garden and adjacent farm, and you can see Wirral rugby club, from the window of the ensuite. We enjoyed sitting in the oak panelled lounge, and breakfast in the conservatory. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the whole experience was very enjoyable

This is a lovely hotel in beautiful surroundings. We were in the Balcony Room which was spacious, nicely decorated, well equipped and had a large balcony. Customer service was excellent.

This period property had fantastic rooms and gardens and host Lawrence was very welcoming and great to talk to. Breakfast was self-service, plentiful and the dining area overlooked the wonderful gardens. I only stayed for one night for work but would definitely stay again as it’s a great base to explore spots near Wirral.

We attended an evening with friends on 28/6/25 and some of us stayed overnight at this wonderful venue, Mere Brook House. From planning the event to the evening itself, I could not fault the professionalism, attentiveness and friendliness of all Mere Brook Staff. The buzz in the room was palpable and the atmosphere was so happy. We have had fabulous feedback from those who attended the event and could not fault the food, environment and staff. We had a wonderful overnight stay too in the beautiful rooms at Mere Brook House and a fabulous breakfast too which made the event even more special. Thank you Lawrence and team. You made this occasion so wonderful and we will be back again!

We used mere brook house as a base for our wedding. We booked the smaller house for Friday night and had some friends over and then Saturday morning I used it to get my bridesmaids ready and we booked the whole house for the night of the wedding. The staff were amazing and nothing was too much trouble and so so clean and the beds were like clouds! Thank you so much!

I recently stayed at Mere Brook House and had a wonderful experience. I was in the area on business and booked a twin room, which was spacious, super comfy, and had everything I needed. The bed was very comfortable, and the shower was excellent—powerful and refreshing. On arrival, I was warmly greeted by the manager, who took the time to show me around and make me feel at home. The whole place has a lovely, old-school B&B charm with thoughtful touches throughout. It’s clear that care and pride go into running this place. If you’re looking for a peaceful stay in a characterful setting with friendly service, Mere Brook House is a fantastic choice. Highly recommended!

Our family used Mere Brook House as a venue for a 90th birthday party. The venue and the staff were all absolutely fantastic. The service given was second to non. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The lovely room was light and airy and the children all enjoyed playing in the beautiful garden.
