My sister and I had dinner in the pub when we were staying in a cottage in the area. Booking a table online was easy and when we arrived, it was a lovely welcome. The pub is light and airy and had a lively buzzy atmosphere. There is a good selection on the menu and they brought our drinks to the table. We both opted for pizzas, which were delicious. They were also rather large and we regretted ordering a side of garlic bread! Because we couldn’t manage it all, they wrapped the leftovers for us to take away. The only room for improvement was the fact that they brought the bill without us asking for it. The assumption was made that because we didn’t finish our pizzas, we didn’t want dessert; we might have not eaten all the pizzas to intentionally leave room for dessert! We weren’t bothered either way so paid the bill and left but we are both self confessed pudding monsters and if we’d been presented with the dessert menu, just in case, we might well have ordered one. If we’d been that bothered we’d have said something, but I thought it was worth mentioning. It didn’t spoil the evening and if in the area, I’d have no hesitation in eating here again.

First time visit, definitely repeat soon, simple menu, we'll cooked, we'll presented, excellent and timely service. Should be a great summer venue as well, plenty of outside space, parking very easy.

But that's because I'm lazy and forgetful... BUT it's always great and this time was no exception. We love the area... (the drive over the top past Hardy's Monument and then from Abbotsbury to Bridport is the best - even keeping to the speed limit)... Breakfast is served in your room or in one of their (Covid inspired) cabins. The whole experience is a delight - the staff are a joy! It's dog friendly... If Rudy's not welcome we just don't go. We've been staying here for 12 years and we ain't gonna stop anytime soon! What's not to like?! Good food, good company, good heavens!!

Lovely friendly staff, great service, fab menu choice. We shared a starter of pork belly bites in honey & harissa,. I had the brisket mac'n'cheese and my friend had calf liver, mash and onion gravy. We also shared a goey chocolate brownie, with ice cream. Excellent value for money. It is well worth a visit if you are visiting the Dirchester - Weymouth area iofDorset.

My husband and I were looking for a nice country pub after having to go to Yeovil. We decided upon The Brewers Arms as it is not too far from where we live in Weymouth. We were not disappointed, lovely atmosphere, roaring fire and great food. We both had the cottage pie and it was delicious. I was especially pleased as it was just the right size for me as I don't have a big appetite. So often you go for lunch/dinner at a pub and the plate comes up piled high and puts me off straight away - such a waste of food for a small appetite! I ate the cottage pie - all of it - fab! We will definitely come again as it's not too far in a cab for us. Thank you.

We have recently returned from our second stay at the Brewers Arms and thoroughly enjoyed it again. The accommodation is clean and very comfortable and Ben and Leanne provide a delicious home cooked breakfast and are so welcoming. Both they and their staff do all they can to make your stay as comfortable as possible. It’s great to be able to take our dog with us and there are plenty of walks to be explored directly from the pub. The pub has a great atmosphere and their food is delicious. We will definitely be back!
