While traveling we stopped at this restaurant and were able to enjoy the sunshine while eating a delicious meal at the outside dining room. The service was outstanding. We had white asparagus, potatoes and a hamburger. Everything taste great!

Nice hotel in a quiet location. Only negative that there was no air conditioning. There was a mosquito net mounted in the window so it was possible to keep it open to cool the room a bit at night.

It's a beautiful place and the rooms are well-decorated. When I arrived around 3pm there was no one at the reception desk, so I used to phone on the counter to call as instructed by a sign. Someone from the restaurant checked me in. Every time I went in and out of the hotel there was never anyone at the reception desk (even though the description reads reception is open from 7am-10pm). For this reason, I feel it's more of a bed-and-breakfast than a true hotel. I wish there had been a fan in the room, because it was a little stuffy that day, and the screen in the window didn't keep everything out. The pillow was a little too flat, so my shoulders kept falling asleep causing me to toss and turn. I didn't try the breakfast, but the hotel restaurant seemed very popular. I loved that there was free parking available, and it's a quick drive to Bergen-Belsen and to nearby Celle.

Wir haben nicht übernachtet, sondern haben an einem Sonntag zu viert dort gefrühstückt. Unsere Erwartungen wurden sowohl von der Qualität als auch vom Service enttäuscht. Einige Sachen wie der Camembert oder das Roast Beef waren nicht frisch, zeigten schon deutliche Trocknungsspuren. Es ist ja in Ordnung, ein Buffett nicht zu überladen, aber wenn man darauf warten muss, dass Brötchen aufgebacken, Bacon gebraten oder Kaffeebohnen aufgefüllt werden, ist das in der Häufung sehr ärgerlich. Die Bedienung war offensichtlich neu und unsicher. Nett, aber überfordert. Und das, obwohl nur 3 Tische überhaupt besetzt waren (mit insgesamt 12 Personen).

Ik was laat en heb helaas van de omgeving niets meer gezien. Hotel is prachtig gelegen en rustig, de kamer was erg ruim en ook de badkamer erg ruim. Diner was heerlijk en ook het ontbijt was erg goed verzorgd. Heerlijk geslapen en echt een aanrader voor een romantisch weekend
