Beautiful friendly place, right in town but so quiet. Luxurious spotless room with super king bed looking out to the playing fields, car park and the Langdales. Unfortunately we stayed on a Sunday night when the restaurant was closed so didn't get to sample the evening menu although breakfast made up for that - Thank you

Our 5th visit to Applegarth was again pretty faultless. The 5 star rating is appropriate. The staff are very friendly & helpful in a relaxed manner. If you are looking for a high quality hotel with superb food, tucked away in Windermere town I would highly recommend.

Having heard many good things about the Applegarth Villa and Hotel, I decided to visit for a special occasion, and we really were not disappointed. We arrived to a very friendly welcome, and then shown to our two floor apartment with the hot tub bubbling away on the balcony. The apartment was spacious and warm and immaculately clean. The bed was large and comfortable and the little extras left in the room did not go unnoticed or unappreciated. We also decided to eat in the restaurant. The food was exceptional. The service was friendly, warm and professional. The breakfast was also delicious, with some of the best bacon and sausages i've tasted in a good while. The location is perfect, situated in the centre of windermere surrounded by art galleries, pubs and coffee shops and a 20/25 minutes walk to the lake.

Just come back from 3 nights in this beautiful family run outstanding hotel. The staff are lovely nothing is too much trouble. The decoration throughout the hotel is first class. The food both at breakfast and evening meal is outstanding. You don't have to stop at the hotel to have evening meal there which is nice so take a look when your next in Windermere. The location is great just a short walk to the lake. Just down the road from the train station so ever easy to get to if you don't have a car. Can't wait to go back. Highly recommend

Yet again another fabulous stay at the Applegarth my favourite place ever in Windermere! I just love the ambiance, the hot tub everything. It’s so quiet like a different world everything we needed and hop skip jump into Windermere itself xx

Another very pleasant stay at Applegarth Villa Hotel. It is convenient for visiting Windermere, Bowness etc. we used the buses to get around. It is a luxurious, comfortable and clean hotel. It is family run & they are all attentive, friendly as are the staff. The breakfast are delicious with plenty to choose from. The bar is lovely & nice place to relax in with plenty of drinks on offer. We had a meal in the restaurant which was amazing. Plenty of parking on site. The rooms are all differently decorated and are warm & comfortable as are the beds. We will be returning & cannot recommend this hotel enough.

Stayed in the Potter Suite, absolute stunning. This while place is just pristine, presented perfectly and the service is incredible..we also ate in the restaurant and I highly recommend, do not miss the opportunity.. my Kashmiri lamb was unbelievable and the braised beef cheek was to die for.. Thank you so much to the family who run the place and how brilliant they are. We will definitely be back.
