"Second time back, place is well maintained though the age of the property can be seen. Enjoyed the serenity beautiful landscapes. Restaurant is good but lacked a wow factor we recalled from our first trip. Still, it was an enjoyable stay."
"recently stayed at Eight Willows Retreat, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the peaceful surroundings, nestled in beautiful parklands with stunning views of the lake and forest.
The chalet was spacious, modern, and well-equipped with everything we needed. The gourmet kitchen, comfortable king-size bed, and private BBQ on the patio made our stay extra special. It was the perfect balance of luxury and nature.
The retreat's location was ideal, with easy access to local wineries, scenic attractions, and walking trails. It truly felt like a secluded getaway while still being close to everything we wanted to explore.
The staff were exceptional—friendly, welcoming, and always ready to assist with any requests. Their attention to detail made our stay even more enjoyable.
If you're looking for a tranquil escape in the Margaret River region, I highly recommend Eight Willows Retreat. Whether it's for a romantic getaway, family trip, or just a relaxing break, this place is a gem!
⭐ 5/5 – Can’t wait to return!"
"The cabin is very clean, spacious and comfortable, with complete facilities, including a microwave and a refrigerator. There is also a laundry room, which costs 5 Australian dollars for washing and 5 Australian dollars for drying. It is very pleasant to sit on the porch and drink a coffee early in the morning. It is also very convenient to park the car at the door of the cabin. The only drawback is that the network signal is a bit poor."
"The room has a good view and is cleverly designed. The swimming pool is very comfortable. Smith Beach is easily accessible and is a great choice among nearby hotels. It's a pity that flies are very rampant at the beach during this season, making it a bit inconvenient to go to the beach or rest on the terrace. I hope the hotel will provide some anti-fly equipment in the future to make staying and traveling more comfortable."
"I should have praised this place highly, because the design is quite innovative and the environment is elegant enough. For people who are used to living in the city, it is hard not to like this place. But what is lacking is the service. A certain manager has a stern look on his face, which makes him completely unfavorable. The room service was perfunctory, the bathroom was not cleaned, the garbage was not taken away, and there were no trash cans outside. The breakfast did not consider the taste of the guests at all. The quality was not good. The bread was sweet, the juice was sweet, and the desserts were still sweet. They looked okay, but they were actually cheap goods with no shelf life. Whether you like it or not, this That's the only breakfast they offer. I stayed there for two nights, and there were strong winds all night long. I heard the sound of the roof shaking all night long, and the house was shaking. The gas heater couldn't be turned on, and the air conditioner was turned on to the maximum and couldn't deal with such a large room with air leakage.
This place definitely gave me an unforgettable experience, but I won't come back again."

"1. Check-in was very fast, it only took 15 minutes to find the check-in front desk. If you are staying at this hotel, drive outside and only see the entrance of the restaurant when you come in. Go in from the restaurant and ask the waiter and they will direct you to the front desk!
2. The facilities are not the latest but they are very stylish. The corridor before entering the room is beautifully decorated, and the room is also very unique and clean. The restaurant downstairs does not disturb the accommodation area at all. The hot water is great. There is a heater.
3. Breakfast is provided, you must eat it, it is very delicious! It can be eaten for lunch, it tastes better than many outside restaurants🥹🥹
4. The environment is great, and you can ask the store in advance when there will be activities. We only passed by for one night, and when we left, we found out that there was a music festival the night before🥹🥹 It is a store that includes food, accommodation and entertainment. I will definitely do it next time I have the opportunity. Would go again!"
"We stayed 6 nights at Yallingup Forest Resort in Sep (early spring) with our baby + 2 young kids.
Pros
- love the forest location - the fresh air, birds
- the location was great! close by many wineries & activities for the kids (yallingup maze, country life farm), a short drive to dunsborough town for Coles, food etc.
- kitchen had enough tools for cooking + oil, salt & pepper provided. we had no issues cooking meals in the kitchen.
- the home was cozy and felt like a home away from home. we were comfortable enough for 6 nights there :)
- any issues are dealt with very efficiently by management (we had issue with the heater and ran out of gas on separate days and both issues were swiftly rectified)
Cons
- no dishwasher & no dryer
- don’t expect fancy or tip-top brand new fittings. doesn’t look very new (at least for the chalet we stayed in) but everything was otherwise clean and comfortable
Also, expect it to get really dark and quiet at night, which you would expect in a forest retreat.
The playground is decent and there’s a small pool which we didn’t get to try as pool is closed for winter months and I guess early spring too.
Overall, a very good deal and great place for spending time with family :)"
