Great service in a hotel that - in a positive sense - seems to be out of time. We stayed in a beautiful cottage with wooden floors and an old fashioned bathtub. Great dining room and excellent food! The hotel owner has a big heart for dogs - thank you for that too. We stayed there only for one night. But we would have liked to stay longer.

Interesting historical building in quiet site. Willowmore not if major interest but makes a good overnight stop. The dinner by candle light and breakfast were really excellent: the hotel has a very good cook and helpful manager

Staying at the Willow is like a step back in time. We loved the Beautiful rooms, lounge, dining, and bar area. Certain areas require a refresh, however. The Dinner was delicious, and staff extremely friendly. Lovely people in fact. Host L-An was a wealth of information, and a lovely lady.

We had a pleasant and comfortable stay at the Willow Historical Guest House in Willowmore. We stayed on the DBB rate and the dinner and breakfast were excellent. We found all the staff to be friendly.

Lovely historic house to stay overnight. I had a really excellent evening meal and an equally good breakfast. Theres a very nice separate bar room and the owners were very pleasant and helpful. And parking was on site.

Luckily enough they had had a bed for me when I called in the morning. As usual, a 5 star plus experience. I have stayed there a few times and the standard has never slipped. Accommodation, food, surroundings are all wonderful. Service is beyond the call of duty, I left my mobile phone there and they couriered it back home for me. Highly recommended!

This picturesque guesthouse is a gem and El-Anne is an outstanding host. The restored historical double storey dwelling and cottages are furnished with historical décor. We loved our charming and spacious cottage with its kitchenette and en-suite bathroom. The quality linen, mattress and towels ensured a blissed and blessed in-room experience. We enjoyed drinks from the on-site pub in the tranquil garden. Our dinner was memorable, with old world table settings, authentic cuisine made with fresh local ingredients and excellent service. We were reluctant to leave. Ideal for an authentic stay combined with professional yet personal service.

We spent a Sunday evening en route to Baviaanskloof. Accommodation was great, but the plumbing and water were a bit of a challenge. We had a great dinner. The food was very good, nicely presented. Food and plates were hot. The breakfast was very good. A selection of fruit, yogurt, cereals. The hot breakfast was perfect. Our host, El-Anne Smith, really was very accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble.

I was impressed with this property from the start. El-Anne runs a tight ship, although she was away when I visited and Veronica stood in for her. The guest house is traditional and authentic, the old house a treasure trove of antiques and curiosities from a bygone age. My room ('Peperboom'), with aircon, was large and comfortable, with a good quality king size matress and comfortable armchairs (often overlooked in in some establishments) with good natural light for reading. Dinner in the delightful main dining room was excellent, remarkable, in fact, for a Sunday night in practically the middle of nowhere at the tail end of the season. There was a decent selection of both mains and starters on the menu. I had pea soup (with an excellent bread) followed by ostrich in a red wine jus, with delicious veggies, and a glass of Merlot. Rowan is the overall go-to guy, the chef and general overseer, is very competent and receptive. There was a problem with the water pressure related to loadshedding, which was promptly sorted out, although this has become a chronic complaint in many small towns. Willowmore is a pretty dorp, beautifully situated in the hills at the start of the Baviaanskloof. I'm sure breakfast will live up to the standards of dinner. Around R1 300 (single, DB&B, all in). Recommended!
