Me and my husband came here for our Xmas getaway without our little boy. A few days before coming we were informed they were having their Xmas party so would be shutting early. I mentioned when we got there that it was a shame as we were looking forward to having a meal and drink at the pub. The lady that booked us in (unfortunately i don't remember her name) was so lovely and apologetic and arranged a drink as an apology. The room we had was amazing for the price-have recommended it to many of our friends. We are looking forward to coming back with our little boy and grandparents for our wedding anniversary.

Beautiful location. Very busy pub with a lovely garden. We stayed in the actual cottage for our first night. Was told there was maintenance the following day so booked the newly opened room 9. The cottage was really comfortable would love to stay again. The only gripe was banging against the wall pretty early, which we assume was beer barrels being set up next door. Room 9 was tastefully decorated. But the window faces straight over towards the pub. There's also a frosted window in the door that anyone could possibly see through if they wanted to. Being the closest room to the pub front entrance we found it really annoying to be woken up at 6am to the sound of beer barrels clanging and thudding around outside. Wasn't the most restful stay. However, would return to stay in the cottage.

We stayed here as a stopover and so pleasantly surprised. Lovely room, the bed was super comfy and the quilt was perfect for a duvet "cuddle". The shower ensuite was refreshing allbeit looking like it would overflow from the tray, maybe a slight drain problem, but it was fine. Would definitely stay again. Very good value.

I have stayed in the same cottage twice and would happily stay there every time I need to be in the area - its fab! The facilities are great, the bed very comfortable and a great option for breakfast and dinner are available in the pub attached if required.

Made bookings sent me emails confirming then they sent emails with a link click to confirm does not work. Speak to managers then they send me emails cancelling all my bookings when I go in to see general manager no explanation given. You cannot trust them one little bit.

We stayed for two nights whilst visiting family, in room one which is a superior room. Car parking outside The Cottage itself is minimal, much easier to use The Dragon (pub/restaurant) car park next door. The room was spacious and very clean with lovely decor and furnishings. Large bathroom with rainfall shower and nice toiletries. The bed was divine! Probably the most comfortable I have slept in I did not want to get out of it! Good tea selection and biscuits, I think fresh milk was available on request at the pub. We were facing the main road but did not find the traffic noise to be of any bother/disruption. A couple of minor points, it would have been nice to have blinds for privacy and it should be more clear when booking breakfast isn’t included. For the price it would have been nice to have had the choice of even a continental breakfast. We had breakfast in The Dragon, food was excellent but not the most welcoming service. We will definitely stay here again and would recommend.

Fantastic place to stay ,stopped for 1 night ,room was lovely ,clean with plenty of facilities ,the pub sells a great range of food and drinks ,bedding was lovely cotton and bed comfy,the pub is on the canal so a walk along the tow path is a must

Stayed here for 2 nights, lovely room and shower room. Very clean. Good internet. Ate at the dragon pub next door both nights fabulous food, lovely inside and out . Fabulous outdoor drinking and eating area , inside conservatory room and bar area for meals as well. Downside we were in room 6 over the kitchen, it was noisy with doors banging but quiet once kitchen closed.definately visit again but different room.
