Hampton Inn & Suites Williamsburg Historic District

The hot water on our floor was only like warm for our shows, we told the front desk but nothing was done, my sister was on the first floor and she had to run the water for 5 min to get it hot enough to shower

A great hotel to stay at with friendly staff. It was a great location for all the places we wanted to visit

The morning breakfast was good. Other than that, it was below average in my opinion. The hotel is currently under renovation, and it appears that our room seemed half-way done. It was extremely sparse, and not the 'cozy' room depicted in the pictures. Other than 2 beds, a sofa, and a small round table with a single desk-style swivel chair, there was no furniture for a very large room - no dresser, desk, coffee table or comfy chair to sit in. I had to pull out the foldable suitcase rack to put the suitcase on. Also, the safe in the room was locked when we arrived, so it was unusable as well.

Hampton Inn review We have stayed at many Hampton Inns over the years. This property is older and is starting to show its age. I understand the property is undergoing a renovation. Interior space was dark and dated looking. Guest room was clean but the public areas (Carpets) needed more attention. The desk clerks were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was typical Hampton Inn fare but a little on the limited side. The property was located a little off the beaten path. No opportunity to walk near the property. Had to drive to everything. With a little work and refreshening this could be a very nice property.

Room don’t look like in the ad, not really near colonial Williamsburg - have to walk by foot through dark main roads. We were supposed to get rollaway bed but they don’t have any( the guy in the reception say that they decided ti stop doing it although the app says it’s a room for 5 and it’s available) so one of our kids slept on the floor- no food near by - you have to order or drive.

Hampton Inn Historic is an old favorite of mine. It offers a calm, very convenient location, without the constant swirl of traffic at other locations. Although it is showing its age, it is very clean and well cared for. The front desk staff members are particularly polite and helpful.
