Residence Inn Williamsburg

This hotel is in a great location right in Williamsburg near to everything. The rooms are renovated and large. The breakfast is really good with things for everyone; hot and cold food, lots of healthy choices and lots of breakfast sweets. They have a wonderful staff, and don't skimp on the number of employees. There were always 2 at the front desk, 2 at breakfast, and anytime I exited my room during the day there were 2 maids with carts were always present on my floor if you needed anything. We had 2 rooms and encountered a minor problem with one of them and I would like to thank Kiara at the front desk for handling it so promply and in such a caring fashion. I would also like to thank the general manager, Tae, for following up with us the next day to ensure that everything was fine. We will certainly stay here again when in Williamsburg!

My husband & I have been with the Marriott Brand & have top status. This location is amazing! It starts with amazing customer service both Elena & Chad are top notch. The two of them made us feel very welcome. Both very professional & very accommodating. Management Tae & Shondell both went above & beyond to make us feel welcome. The breakfast is great. Variety of choices. The room was very clean & the bed is comfortable. Great location. They even offer ice cream in the evenings for free!

Great location, room large and clean with no issues. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. Only problem we encountered was with the internet not working well, a problem management said they were addressing. Pet friendly. Would definitely stay there again

This hotel was not up to par with Marriott's standards. They were understaffed with only one person at the desk to handle things. Even the one person wasn't even at the desk half the time, they probably had other things to tend to but this left the front desk empty. Several times we had to wait or come back because no one was there. The first room arranged for us was not clean and the shower was broken. We were then switched us to a room that wasn't as bad but not great. We requested a room upgrade with our Marriott status and the answer was only a cold no. We called Marriott and explained the problems in detail, they said that issues will are handled by a different department and by the hotel itself, and that they would get back to us if there is anything they could do. Nobody got back to us. We have stayed at other Marriott's with a much better standard and unfortunately our experience at this hotel was underwhelming. If you are staying in Williamsburg, another hotel might be a better option.

If you’re expecting the usual Marriott standard, you won’t get that here. Our room smelled so badly of mildew and was musty. Even with housekeeping coming every other day, the day they did come, the only thing they did was make the bed and give us towels. They left the trash sitting there for 4 days, didn’t even bother restocking our coffee bar, and there were trash cans lining the hallways from other guests needing them to be emptied. The breakfast attendant was being harassed by guests because inventory was extremely low and they ran out of most breakfast items each morning. There was only one visible nighttime front desk person trying to manage multiple requests at once, which was not her fault, but left a lot of frustrated guests. For the amount of money we paid, I expected way better from this brand and would have rather stayed at a competing hotel.

Wonderful hotel. So great we're going back later this month! The front desk staff are so nice and welcoming. The amenities are fabulous - hot tub, fire pit, pool, towels, fitness center, breakfast, snacks. Wish the beds had a little more cushioning on top - love the firmness but they need a bit of foam. Otherwise, everything is clean and nice. Breakfast area is well equipped, lots of choices. Friendly staff there as well.
