The stay was lovely!! We really enjoyed Valerie and Clair and they couldn’t have been nicer! Breakfast was delish too!
One suggestion: a full length mirror in the rooms?

This was a wonderful little B & B very close to the campus of William & Mary and also Colonial Williamsburg. It is right on a fairly busy street, but the house itself it set back so the traffic noise wasn't a problem. We also chose a room at the back of the house. The breakfasts were amazing. They have a chicken coop in the back which provides fresh eggs daily! The room we stayed in, the Russell House, had a comfy queen-sized bed. It was a bit tall, but they had little step stools on either side of the bed. The bathroom was clean and functional. Although our room was somewhat small, there are many common areas in the rest of the house that are available for guests to use for reading and relaxing. It was an easy walk to nice restaurants. Parking was available in back of the house, but also on the side street in back of the house.

The breakfast food was wonderful. We were in The South Hampton Room and the bed was very difficult to get in and out of; they provided a step stool to help to get in the bed. They do not clean the rooms on a daily unless you ask the servant to do so during breakfast. To obtain clean towels, you must retrieve them from the storage closet. Unfortunately, there was a sewage type smell in the stairwell that would sometimes invade the rest of the house. The home sits alongside the college campus, so you will hear lots of traffic, since the windows are older.

One of the best in our experience. Special kudos to the lady who cooks the breakfast and her Mom who does lots of things. We look for friendly people contacts and cozy places to end the day with a wine and cheese. The Manor has several spots like this plus the freshest eggs on the planet.

Our 3 night stay was a comfortable and well maintained respite. The home is beautiful with lots of comfy couches and chairs to relax in after visiting local attractions in the 90 degree heat. The breakfasts were delicious with special touches and fresh fruit and herbs from the garden. My husband fell in love with the coffee/cappuccino machine! Cleanliness was top notch, the softess sheets and so fresh smelling. Hot showers! The staff were so personable and conversave. Only downside was no live TV for local news. But that is only a matter of preference. You can stream using you own service. Directly across the street from William and Mary College. About a mile or so from Colonial Williamsburg. We walked to and from. Short car trip to Jamestown and Yorktown. Lots of resturants on Richmond Road. Cooks Burgers diner an Food for Thought resturant were excellent.

I was here for week and the whole time was delightful-greatly exceeding my expectations. Val's specially prepared breakfast were unique, creative and delicious-fresh eggs from here hens every day. the room was spacious, quiet and the beds most comfortable. I was at a conference at W&M so it was very convenient to walk there each day. Also so close to historic area, it was nice not to worry about finding parking. There was coffee all the time and snacks. Also an honor bar for beer and wine-good selection. You could tell from all the little things that this B&B offers that the owner had thought through every aspect of what makes a quest comfortable and welcome. Thank you for a nice experience.
