Motel 6 Wilkes Barre, PA - Arena
3.6/594 Reviews
This is a clean, basic Motel 6. Nothing fancy. Definitely worth the price. Near lots of stores and restaurants and gas stations, but set way back from the road, so no traffic noise. I would give it 5 stars if it was a little quieter though. We were on the first floor and half the night I could hear people walking around upstairs and made it hard to sleep. I don't know if it was just the room above us, or people walking in the hallway.

Hotel was clean. Room and beds were clean and comfy. Staff were extremely kind and helpful. We arrived after 10pm. The hotel lobby still had fresh cookies out, which my boys loved. As Diamond members, we were upgraded to a King suite, which was spacious and perfect. Ron, who checked us in, was especially kind, efficient, and helpful. Upon entering our room, we were delighted that our room was already cool. We slept well. No noise issues. Shower water, shampoo, and conditioner were excellent. Great breakfast buffet; the omelets, potatoes, sausage, and waffles were delicious. The exercise area was good and it included up to 50 lb. barbells. We would stay here again!

We decided late in the day not to drive further and made a quick reservation on line. They had our reservation and our room all ready when we got there. Our room was spotless and everything worked, including good wi-fi. Breakfast was fine, with a waffle maker and a good selection of other items, staged in a pleasant area. The hotel is convenient for travelers, very near the expressway. Not great in terms of restaurant selection; there is a dying mall nearby and many nearby restaurants are closed or look unappealing
