We loved it! Bad weather, strong wind, no whale, but, but a very nice place, nice guys, excellent breakfast, an amazing view from the penthouse!! I hope be able to return asap!

The penthouse room was not clean. Not worth the price per night. Needs lots of attention. Curtains were not clean and didn't fit. Shower door/window was broken. Bed throw looked old. Plastic flower and poor decor. Bar fridge not clean and fan in roof very old. Should be taken off listing for public and upgraded.

Absolutely loved my stay at this beachfront guesthouse! The views were simply breathtaking, making up for the fact that we couldn’t walk directly on the beach during high tide. The breakfast was hands down the best I've ever had—such a delightful way to start each day! While the room was a bit dated and had a few spider webs, it was still comfortable. One thing to note is that the door didn’t lock from the outside, which was a little concerning, but the friendly and helpful staff made us feel at ease throughout our stay. They were incredibly personable and went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. Overall, it was a lovely experience, and I would recommend it to anyone looking to enjoy stunning views and great hospitality!

Whales Way was a perfect location for a one-night stay over as we were heading back to Cape Town. It's always good to have the sounds of the ocean as a backdrop to one's stay!

A quaint place with amazing views. Rooms are good size and clean. Breakfast was good too, and as always in SA, portions are big and cooked to order. My only take about it is, because of the wooden floors and roofs, it can get thumpy and loud when the people above you have children.

I recently stayed at Whale's Way Ocean and was extremely disappointed. For two days, there was no hot water in the tub, which was a major inconvenience. This was in the dead cold of Wilderness! Despite calling for over an hour - no answer or phones off, I received no empathy from the staff. Their response was simply, "Sorry, will see you next time." To make matters worse, the owner or person in charge responded sarcastically to my complaints. The lack of basic amenities and the unprofessional attitude made for a frustrating experience. I expected better service and will not be returning.
