A beautiful hotel on a beautiful place, just at the beach. It’s newly renovated to top notch, both rooms and other areas. But, other things fall behind. Food is average, service uneven and the abundance of single use cups, sachets with salt, ketchup, mayonnaise etcetera, and signs are missing (how do I find the entrance and the restroom), quite a lot of plastic litter around the building… all these small things need to be improved.

My room on the 3 floor had a big balcony and good beds and a small kitchen.. bathroom had all you expect . Sea view and short walk to the beach. Food was good , and the outdoor terrace with a wonderful view. The fitness room had all new and great facilities and that in combination with the sauna !

This hotel has undergone recent renovations. Based on my experience, reviews before May 2024 do not accurately reflect the current state of the hotel. My recent stay at the hotel reminded me that different guests have different accommodation needs. Some seek luxurious comfort, while others prefer a more affordable place to stay. I would consider this hotel to be somewhere in between. Situated at the beach, it allows for easy access to the sea. Some rooms are very close to the beach. In particular, we could walk to the beach from our balcony door. The bed was moderately firm and provided a good night's rest. The bathroom in our room had a walk-in shower and tissues but no body lotion or hair dryer. The room had a kitchen sink, an oven, and cutlery. Breakfast options were varied, but it was busy. During my visit, the sauna was unfinished. The gym was accessible, though. The top-floor bar and the gym both offered beautiful sunset views. The steel mill behind the hotel is not visible in the sea view photos. There was no dinner à la carte. The dinner was buffet-style. Many families with small children were present and, at the time of my visit, there was only one lift to the reception.

Recently attended a conference event at this hotel - fantastic location and great conference room with superb panoramic rooms. Hotel is about to be closed for major refurbishment - might explain somewhat "off" service at times. Service ranged from excellent to poor. Hopefully it can return and excel on all fronts - location is a big plus

2 overnachtingen in dit prachtige hotel gehad.. 1 x met z'n tweeën genoten van het heerlijke, uniek verzorgd dinerbuffet. En de 2de dag heel gezellig de verjaardag van mijn man gevierd met de kinderen en kleinkinderen met een gezellig borreluur op het zonovergoten terras en daarna allemaal weer genoten van het buffet, wat ook bij hen in de smaak viel. Ontvangst, prima goed geregeld. Bedienend personeel allervriendelijkst. Grote, ruime, schone kamer met terras en zeezicht. Voor herhaling vatbaar.

Prima hotel met een fantastisch uitzicht op zee. We hebben gekozen om ‘s avonds gebruik te maken van het buffet aangezien het in centrum erg druk was ivm de vele badgasten. Het buffet was een ruime voldoende en voor ieder wat wils. Wat wel opviel is dat veel gasten bang zijn dat ze iets tekortkomen aangezien sommige borden tot de rand gevuld waren en dit uiteindelijk toch teveel blijkt te zijn en dan weggegooid moet worden. Tijdens het ontbijtbuffet was dit nog erger. Het was trouwens een prima ontbijt buffet. Kamers waren prima, netjes en goed schoon. Ook de airconditioning werkte prima zodat we goed konden slapen..

Geboekt voor het eten in het Hoge Duin. Reservering ging makkelijk en snel. Eten is in een buffet vorm voor een schappelijke prijs. We waren oprecht verbaasd over de kwaliteit van het eten en de aankleding. De tafels waren ruim met natuurlijk het mooiste uitzicht van de Nederlandse kust. Vriendelijk en fris personeel. Onbeperkt eten van een goed gesorteerd buffet waar voor iedereen iets te vinden is. Vlees en vis worden op verzoek door een kok direct vers bereid. Top. Drankjes reken je na het diner appart af. Om eens ergens anders te eten in Wijk aan Zee... Een aanrader. Na het eten nog even een afzakkertje in de sky bar. Gewoon een top avond !!

De kamers van dit fraai aan zee gelegen hotel zijn mooi, ruim en prima ingericht. Over de kwaliteit van het restaurant (zowel buffet als diner) alsmede het personeel (mn in het buffet restaurant) waren wij veel mi der te spreken. Weinig verfijnd, veel vet doorgegaard.
