Die Lage ist einmalig schön, aber das Essen ist einfach nur furchtbar. Das Tafelspitz hatte mehr Ähnlichkeit mit einer Schuhsohle als mit einem Lebensmittel und die Beilagen waren einfach nur aus der Dose auf den Teller. Absolut Unterste Schublade

Ausblick - wunderschön… Essen - gerade noch genießbar. Das einem Restaurant im Vorgebirge während der Spargelzeit die Salzkartoffeln ausgehen und man dann mit Convinience Bratkartoffeln vorlieb nehmen muss ist schon ein starkes Stück. Dabei kann man in Widdig und Urfeld bei jedem zweiten Bauern Kartoffeln kaufen — auch am Wochenende. Und der Rest - die Schnitzel Wiener Art schmeckten wie aus der Fritteuse, die Sauce Hollandaise stammt vermutlich aus dem Tetrapack, die Scholle war tot gebraten und furztrocken und die Jägersauce war zwar reichlich, rangierte geschmacklich jedoch unterhalb eines engagierten Stehimbisses. Danke nicht wieder.

Die Lage direkt am Rhein ist beeindruckend. Restaurant und Terrasse bieten einen direkten Rheinblick. Die Speisekarte ist übersichtlich, das Essen während meines Aufenthaltes war gut. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist ansprechend. Nicht schön war die Tatsache, dass das Restaurant bereits um 22:00 Uhr schließt. Auch als Hotelgast bekommt man nach 22:00 Uhr keine Getränke mehr und ist gezwungen sein Zimmer aufzusuchen. Mein Zimmer war zur Strassenseite gelegen, sauber und standardmäßig eingerichtet. Leider war der Verkehrslärm nachts wirklich störend.
