This must be the worst accommodation I have ever stayed in and I have stayed in a lot Hall and stairs filthy. Disgusting smell. Room at top of stairs. Windows dirty and unable to open, couldn’t ventilate room. Health and safety risk. Couldn’t stay. Explained my concerns and left. Managed to get another room.

Stayed here for 1 night whilst doing the NC500, the room was very dated and cleanliness wasn’t top priority. The bathroom had black mould on all grouting and mould growing on the toilet brush. Breakfast in room was mediocre, poached eggs like bullets, due to condition of room, only cereal was ordered by my friend. On check out we were advised we couldn’t change how we wanted to pay as owner said he’d taken payment in full due to people ‘doing a runner’

Lovely couple and wonderful selection of teas, coffees, biscuits, jams, cereals and coffee. Lovely view of the harbour. Nice selection on the breakfast menu. Room had a little damp and the bathroom had black mould on most grouting in the bathroom, along with red stains and shower door. Asked for twin room and walked in to the beds made up as a double. Bed was comfortable but could of done with a headboard. The room was cold so could of done with a little heater to take the chill off. Breakfast looked amazing when brought into room on the trolley, but the toast was cold and the bacon and beans looked like they had either been warmed up or under a hot plate too long. The hot food was Luke warm.

My Husband and I stayed here in May as a 1 night stay on our NC500 trip. Such a lovely building that could be a beautiful place to stay but it was filthy. We asked for a room with a harbour view but the windows were so dirty the view was not great. The bathroom needed a deep clean and had other visitors used shampoo and shower gels left for you to use. The toilet stand looked like it had never been cleaned. The stairs carpet up to our room was really dirty and the bed was years past its best. We tried to find another B&B to stay in as we just wanted to leave but there was nothing anywhere near. The whole place was very tired. and we would not stay again.

We recently stayed at this bed and breakfast the previous comments written by people I have to agree with wholeheartedly , what could have been made in to a beautiful band b looked tried and unloved. And needed alot of work spending on it. I wouldn't recommend this as a place to stay at this moment in time

I wanted so hard to like this place. It’s got a lot going for it, so I’ll go through all the positives first. - The hosts are great. - The view of the harbour was excellent. - Breakfast is served to your room - and it was hot. You have a table in the window to eat from - very nice! - There was a generous selection of drinks and biscuits. Sadly, there were a few things that drag it down to 3/5. - The Tassimo machine provided was in a disgusting state. We didn’t want to use it, especially as one of the pods supplied had been opened. So the excitement of having one was cancelled out by not being able to use it. - The bathroom wasn’t as clean as it could be. It needs a deep clean, the tiles for example. - The decor was tired, and scruffy in places. Things like just cleaning the paint off the socket would make a difference…it would take 10 minutes to scrape it off. - The TV didn’t work (appeared to be a signal problem). None of these things ruined the stay…but we just felt that a bit of time spent on these things would make a huge difference. I find it hard to say negative things, but I’m offering these comments as I liked the owners and this is genuine, constructive feedback.
