Red Roof Inn Wichita Falls

For the price we didn't expect the place to be top notch cleanliness wise (and it wasn't by any means); but bed bugs, cock roaches, and wood ants/termites were NOT part of the plan. On first inspection we only noticed an open soda can left in entertainment center, some cigarette butts on floor, and lack of batteries in TV remote; but after laying ON the bed and bed sheets for only 30/40minutes felt what we thought was ant bites. We weren't even under the sheets. Pictures are from killed bedbug blood spot, another smashed on on bed sheet, and others that we found on the floor. Would NOT recommend risking this stuff following you to your home and/or car. Select as soon as we discovered them.

Horrible. Dead bugs in room, stained bedspread, dirty tub and sink, abandoned car in lot, pool closed, hot tub filled with rocks. Nothing like the pictures presented. Random people sitting in cars just like a ********* waiting to happen. Very unsafe feeling

God awful most disgusting horrific place ever stayed! Door had been kicked down, window was broken, extremely dangerous, not clean! Can’t even describe how disgusting it was! I don’t think it’s ever been cleaned, only thing it didn’t have was bugs.

When we arrived we had drove for 17 hours, we had booked for a quick place to rest. When we entered the room it smelled of cigarettes and mildew, there was mold on the walls in the bathroom, the sheets on the bed were dingy, the towels were stained and dirty, there were bedbugs in the bed. DO NOT STAY HERE, DO NOT BOOK HERE, They denied any refund, and lied to the booking agency and stated we stayed there and we did not.

Room I stayed in by reservation for one night was simply the worst room I have ever rented. Sink plugged and would not drain, NO hot water at all. Towel rack off the wall. Coffee maker disabled. Mini fridge frozen solid. Holes in the walls and you could see daylight above the door frame.

Where to start. Opened the door to a blast of cigarette stench. Smoke alarm was missing. GFI outlet by sink had a broken face plate. Bed frame was broken in one corner. Saw a cockroach. Railings around the walkway were rusted through. Ice machine was broken. Vending room it was in smelled like a dog that hadn't been bathed in months.

Both front desk agents were very nice and helpful. They didn't fix a single problem I had, but they were nice. When we arrived, I walked into a puddle of water left by the air conditioner. It was big and fairly deep. I went to turn on the light, but it didn't work. I checked the plug, good to go. I decided to make sure the light bulb was screwed in properly, and it wasn't because there was no light bulb there. I turned on the TV, but nothing happened. The remote didn't work. There was no button on the TV so I couldn't watch TV. I had to call and ask the wifi password. When I came back from dinner, the key didn't work. They sent a man to fix the air conditioner, but he did not. I used the two towels left in my room to mop up the floor, and asked for more. I got two more. Ice machine worked great, but gave no ice at all. It sounded good, though. I first thought there was a bedbug in there, but much to my relief, it was only a tiny roach. In my bed. The toilet handle was broken. The water in the bath tub dripped all night. No coffee maker. No telephone. There was a sweet ironing rack, but no iron. Or ironing board. It was a bed and a Bible, so it did the trick. But I can't imagine a scenario where I would stay there again. I wish I had my money back.

The room door had been kicked in, so the entire door was comprised and did not seal. I had to use towels around the bottom and side. There were bugs... roaches to be exact. On got into my toiletries bag, so that was fun. There was a plate of tamales left in the microwave, so room cleaning was very suspect. No refrigerator in my room that was shown in the pictures. A+ on marketing, F- on execution. oh, and don't take your swimsuit. The pool has been tarped for quite some time and the Jacuzzi is full or gravel.

My husband and I stayed for the Hotter than Hell, but were shocked at the unsanitary conditions and negligence at the Red Roof Inn, 1032 Central Freeway. We had our room changed because the door didn't close - it looked like it had been kicked in. There were no plugs in the sinks, no running water in the shower, walls damaged and unpainted. The fridge did not work. We were moved to another room that had bugs on the walls, a pillow barely as wide as my head that I had to stuff with towels to make it a reasonable size. The TV was not activated. The walls were equally damaged with holes and unpainted or repaired. Dogs barking outside our room as people smoked on the fire escape. The coffee or breakfast was not available in the morning as claimed by the advertising for the riders of Hotter than Hell. Ice machine was not available during the evenings. Hot tub was filled in with pebbles. Swimming pool was covered with tarps and ugly machinery. There was no-one managing that place, just taking our money because of the event. Surely this needs to be investigated by the health authorities? Surely this extortion should not be excused? Surely someone should be held accountable for this filthy place. Surely Hotter than Hell does not need this kind of establishment scamming the riders and giving us a terrible nights sleep before 100 mile race. How will the Health officials of Witchita Falls deal with this awful place which should no longer exist to take money from decent, hard travelled bikers.
