Where do I start. Firstly the room as expected was clean and tidy, which I’ve come to expect with Premier. We arrived just before dinner and decided to eat there, as meals are usually ok. I know they are making changes but the food was terrible. My wife and I had fish and chips, cold chips and powdery tasting fish. My mother had chicken goujons which were like rubber. Coffee was tasteless. Moving on to the morning after a good sleep as we were very tired after a long journey. Shower, ours was cold, we could not get hot water. This was remedied after talking to the reception. Breakfast. We were booked in for 9am. There was no cooked breakfast until nearly 9.45am and because everyone was waiting was gone in a flash so another wait until more was cooked. The only other time we ate there was the last morning which was cooked on request and had to wait 1hr for it. I must add that I think it was all down to being under staffed. The poor lad having to book people in was also taking orders being a waiter and having to clean tables. This guy should be given a medal. I asked at reception if we could change rooms due to trouble for the ladies getting in and out of the bath. This was never addressed, consequently my wife had a fall on the last morning. Lastly you now get two different WiFi signals one is free the other as usual for greedy businesses wasn’t. The free speed was limited to 0.8mb/s Terrible. So after many years of using Premier inns, this will be my last.

Regular users of Premier Inn and this was the WORST one ever. Stopped for 5 nights in the hottest weather. 1) We accept that there is no air con but room 108 is also above the kitchen so any air from the window was warm from the kitchen vents. Two fans provided but room unbearable! 2) Kept losing TV signal stating there was no WiFi even for terrestrial stations. 3) when booked the Beefeater was open but it closed on 5th July 2025.

Julia who hosted us in the restaurant was a fantastic premier inn representative a real credit !! …HOWEVER ….. there’s no air con and our room was 29.5 degrees for 2 successive nights and never dropped below 26….. 2 fans were provided but did nothing. The only air con was in the bar area. Staff basically shrugged their shoulders and we know they can’t magic up an air con machine but premier inn need to get with it with our summers getting hotter each year I personally won’t stay there again as the heat was insufferable.

I was being kind by giving it a 3. Whilst the accessible room was okay it was an extremely long walk from Reception with no offer of assistance. The Restaurant or should I say lack of is a complete let down. Breakfast was no different to other Premier Inns ( and I’ve stayed at many ) The evening meals were just microwaved and nothing was fresh cooked. The selection was virtually non existent 2 Curries, 1 Pasta Dish and 1 Pizza. Whilst it was made clear on the website that the Long Reach Pub was closed down the facts about the excuse for a restaurant were nothing short of shameful As Far as the Bar was concerned there was 1 bottled beer at £5 which was rubbish and well and truly overpriced. Even bottles of Coke or Pepsi were overpriced. The young waitress in the Restaurant was the only saving grace. My advice to people is whilst Whitstable is a lovely place to visit the Premier Inns should be given a miss.

Lovely staff, good breakfast, but I wouldn’t stay here in the summer again due to the lack of air conditioning in the rooms. We had a family room and despite the two fans and the thin sheets the staff provided, it was unpleasantly and uncomfortably hot and stuffy from the moment we walked in, to the moment we left. To be fair, it did state there was no a/c when we booked it so…. It what it is. We love a Premiere Inn. The kids love it. I love the price for a quick and clean mini-break! But I was really happy I only booked the one night here. Such a shame as the area, the staff and the food were all lovely.

We stayed at whitstable premier inn and although the room was quite hot the staff made it a lovely experience. One lady in particular was outstanding, her name is Julia and she works in the restaurant. Her attention to everything was amazing and her customer service was outstanding. She made the whole dining experience perfect and I cannot rate her highly enough. Thank you Julia, they are so lucky to have you.

Was disappointed with our stay as we were booked into a room above the kitchen and the constant noise of the banging of the kitchen door was horrendous. It shook the bed every time in banged. Went on at least until midnight then started again at 5am. Do not get room 106 as you’ll be kept wide awake from the banging!! Breakfast was ok apart from not cooking enough at any one time and having to wait for eggs to be cooked. Just cook enough in the first place!! It’s as if they were frightened of food not being eaten. Mugs were dirty aswell. Cutlery, sauces and salt and pepper not replenished and were empty on most tables. Disappointing stay in Whitstable Premier Inn so won’t be returning but definitely preferred the Herne Bay one.
