As usual, it is a temporary resting place. The price seems not cheap. I just passed by. But the sea is opposite. I checked in in the evening, listened to the sea and watched the moon. The room was clean.

We were upgraded to a ground floor ocean view unit. While we appreciated the extra space, we found the lack of seating in the lounge area inconvenient. While there were two extra beds in the lounge area (for families we assume), there was no comfortable seating for watching tv. The two chairs in the room were just too low, especially for older people.

It's hard to beat this. A small, well appointed motel with nice rooms, full kitchen and a balcony, across the street from the beach in lovely Whitianga. A very relaxing and low-key experience, all within walking distance of all the restaurants, shops, ferry etc. in the Whitianga CBD. Proprietors are extremely friendly and a font of knowledge about local events, must-sees, restaurants, etc. I went back and forth with them a number of times leading up to our stay, and they were super helpful. Highly recommended!

Amazing location right on the seafront on the edge of a beautiful town. The room was comfortable with a large comfy bed, kitchenette, balcony overlooking the sea and a nice bathroom. The room was lovely and clean and the host had provided a bottle of water.

Beach paradise.
We stayed in unit 4 I believe, downstairs with a beautiful view of the ocean. Convenient parking to room, amazing that we could walk across the street and be on the beach for good seashell and sand dollar hunting. At high tide we went and sat on the stairs just to enjoy the ocean and full moon! The host was great and really attentive. Would stay again if/when we return to New Zealand.

Fabulous accommodation right over the road from the beach. Impeccably clean and well appointed. We had an upstairs unit which gave us spectacular views and privacy. It's an easy walk to shops, and we thought the location was brilliant. The motel owners and their team were welcoming and friendly, which added to our overall enjoyment of our time in Whitianga. We couldn't have asked for more and thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Definitely recommend.

We stayed in the Northernmost upper floor suite, and it was amazingly great! Probably the best accommodations in the area. The large balcony overlooks the beach (30-sec walk), and just sitting and watching the continuous broad waves over and over was mesmerizing.
WiFi was good (better than many others in NZ), and the hosts, who live on-site, were very friendly and helpful.
Breakfast was good too.
We stayed for much of a week, and would return in a heartbeat!
