A little piece of paradise. Tranquil with the most amazing views. We were in the Kupe suite which was very comfortable and met all our needs. The best was to come waking up to the sun rising in front of us glistening over the sea and valley below. There are many places you will stay where the memory fades....I can assure you this will not be one of them. Our host David was so warm and welcoming and we were able to pick his brains on what to do and where to go. Make sure you listen to him as you will not be disappointed by his advice.

We spent three wonderful days at Bayview Valley Lodge in March 2024. David is a host with heart and soul. You can see and feel this when you enjoy the generous, delicious and freshly prepared breakfast at the table laid with great attention to detail. The spacious room with sofa, the bathroom with high-quality toiletries and the wonderful view of Mercury Bay leaves nothing to be desired. Thanks to David's recommendations and detailed tips on excursions, we were able to fully enjoy the beauty of the beaches and nature in the surrounding area. The absolute highlight, however, was when David invited us to dinner with friends of his and cooked a specialty from Calabria. We will remember this evening for a long time to come. We stayed at Bayview Valley Lodge while visiting the area. We enjoyed every aspect of the stay. The location is good and views from the rooms and terrace are outstanding. The suites are clean, roomy and have everything you need. They are private and very quiet. Breakfast was outstanding, a good selection to eat and drink including bread baked that morning and eggs fresh from the nearby chickens. The best part was the hospitality of our host, David who welcomed us on arrival and during our stay ensured we had everything we needed. He suggested great restaurants and made us reservations. He gave excellent advice on what to see in the area. This stay had been the highlight of our tour of New Zealand.

An absolutely fabulous stay at Bayview Valley Lodge in Whitianga NZ. David, the owner, is not only a perfect host, he is also a fabulous chef. Our breakfasts were terrific! Our suite was spacious and lovely with an en-suite bath and a fabulous view of the bay. Honestly, you could stare out at the view of the bay all day and be totally happy. It is that special. We highly recommend a stay if you are in the area.

David, the host, was welcoming and helpful. In the morning a lovely breakfast was set out with fresh fruit, yoghurt and homemade bread that David had baked that day. David recommended the Ocean Leopard tour at Whitianga to see Cathedral Cove, myself and husband had a great time and really appreciated the thoughtfulness in suggesting this. Knowing the area, David provided many great ideas of things to see and do and places to eat at.

Our stay at BayView Valley Lodge was the highlight of our trip. The accommodations far exceeded our expectations. The suite was very comfortable and the view was exceptional. David, the host was the real star. He provided detailed directions and guidance on area attractions. The breakfast each morning was over the top. He is a warm, personable guy that knows the area well and his recommendations were spot on. I gladly recommend a stay there and if the opportunity arises, would love to stay again.

This b&b is truly unique. It offers stunnings views on whitianga and Mercury Bay. The room are great and have private access with a nice terras. There is also good privacy on the sundeck and spa pool. David really makes the difference in his personal touch. Breakfast is great and offers what the guest would like

I can't actually find the perfect the words to express how special our time was with David at the Bayview Valley Lodge! Every single second was so special, so much gratitude! His warm, generous, kind, knowledgeable personality certainly made it for hubby and I! A very special spot, glorious views, divine breakfast, our hearts were filled with joy from the second we arrived in the driveway, an idyllic spot, peaceful, stunning surroundings and highly highly recommended. We would definitely recommend this boutique b & b. David was the perfect host, with friendly knowledgeable advise both locally and around the rest of NZ. Amazing views of the coast from our room and the patio where we had a lovely breakfast. Hot tub available, book a time for a private dip. David offers to drop you in town and you can get a taxi back. Just a beautiful relaxing time that we will remember and pass on to friends. Photos don't do the view justice, you need to see it!
