Check in ok. The room requires a lot of updating. Tired floors, dirty blanket, noise is a big issue as the door sits right on the car park,the doors themselves are a curious choice. Not composite which would reduce noise, they have taken out internal door which could help with noise reduction! Shower although hot enough is tiny no where to put any toiletries. The TV? use that term loosely is just odd! My tablet screen is bigger. Poor wi-fi. Lack of investment such a shame.

Went in for a couple of drinks with a few friends on a Sunday afternoon to watch the fa cup match. I think the place is trying to be more of a restaurant than a local pub. The football was on but some little madam behind the bar refused to put the volume on. No atmosphere. Such a shame as it was a decent local pub back in its day. Try training the staff in customer service at the least.

Had a really nice lunch with friends. The food was homemade to order. Homemade scones were amazing. Really friendly staff. Highly recommend a visit. We'll be back. The place is clean and well laid out. Good choice of meals. Good value for money

Fantastic food and atmosphere. Staff really friendly and their Sunday Roasts are at a high quality. Really busy for a Sunday evening! Will be going back! Full of friendly and local people. A place for everyone. Owners are engaging and deliver great service.

Really really good. Just opposite Hartford Station with a great choice of lovely food. Nicely furnished, great meals including Sunday Roasts. Lots of parking and greatly improved in recent years. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very clean and well laid out seating wise

We had a lovely and reasonably priced meal from an extensive menu served by wonderful staff. Our waiter (one of a pair of twins) was particularly polite and efficient. The portions are generous but they provide doggy bags, for those with smaller appetites.

Had a really lovely family Sunday lunch today. 2 Roast Dinners and other Mains / Sides from the Menu. Lovely service, really helpfull young staff members who were so attentive. All the food we ordered arrived in good time and was delicious. We would highly recommend eating here and will be returning ! ☺️👌

Visited for Sunday lunch with family, we had a mixture of starters, mains and also the roast dinners. All of the food was exceptional quality and generous portions. The fillet of beef main was cooked medium as requested and was tender and delicious, great quality meat. The beef on the roast dinner was also great quality and very tender. The fish was lovely and fresh and a large portion. All of the accompanying vegetables were fresh and tasty. Would highly recommend, looking forward to returning for Sunday lunch and also visiting on a week night to try the different menu options.

Excellent service and delicious food. We called in on the off chance for some lunch today (Sunday). We were very warmly welcomed by the friendly staff, were seated in the bar area and given the menus. My Dad and I only have small appetites so I asked if it was possible to have smaller portions which was immediately met with an “of course” from our server. The meals arrived and wow! They were perfect for us and not small at all. My partner had the loaded salt and pepper chips which was a meal in itself with fresh peppers on them and also looked lovely. We were asked if everything was ok and if we needed anything else. All in all, a really lovely meal, well cooked and wonderful staff. It would have been my Mum’s Birthday today and though the staff didn’t know it, they really made the day for us. Thank you to you all. We will be back!
