Unfortunately I spent only a night with my family, driving from Johannesburg to Kruger NP. It was an incredibile experience, starting with a warm welcoming, living in a Wonderful suite… Restaurant shocked us, we didn’t expect to get so high quality dishes (all kind of meats and super desserts…) Highly recommeded…

Thought we’d add a little luxury to the end of our trip around Highveld and the Kruger. Beautiful spot and hits all the excellent notes. Nothing’s too much trouble and an allround great choice! Sits alongside 1st green of White River Country Club which is well worth a knock.

Great place to start our trip. We landed in Johannesburg and drove straight to Oliver's, which was an easy drive. White River is a perfect starting point for the Panorama route. Hotel and Rooms: Very clean and nice rooms. The hotel and the rooms are in a classic land style. The hotel is located right along the 9-hole golf course which seemed to be not at all crowded. Kitchen: fabulous menues, great kitchen. Everything is just delicious and of high quality. Staff: All highly motivated and very friendly. Most of the staff work there for a very long time which is a good sign.

The room was large and comfortable. The food and service in the dining room was fantastic for both breakfast and dinner and the staff were great. I'd definitely stay at Oliver's again.

Probably one of the best lodges visited in South Africa. Great service, a very comfortable room and tastefully decorated dining and lounge areas. Exceptionally good evening meal. We will certainly return whenever in the area.

The friendliness, service and professionalism you receive from the time you enter the main gates through to reception, check in, restaurant dining, all the amazing staff, food and beverage was just spectacular. Oliver's exceeded our expectations with their individualized service when needed, their gourmet dining options, the comfortable rooms and stunning gardens. Simply put Oliver's gives you luxury accommodation, delicious food, and luxury 5* service all round.

I took 12 friends plus myself and husband to Oliver's for a birthday breakfast. The food was delicious and the menu had lovely offerings for everyone. When we paid we thought that they had made a mistake...we thought they had undercharged us. We were assured that for that top class cuisine they had made no mistakes! What a lovely venue overlooking gardens towards surrounding hills and the golf course! We enjoyed superb food and service and will be doing this a LOT more often!

Food was wonderful but service was poor. Waitress was untrained and could not describe the dishes on the menu. I ordered fish and requested particular vegetables that were available on the menu. Meal arrived with wrong vegetables. Was told correct vegetables would arrive shortly.As promised one of vegetables arrived in good time but other vegetable arrived very much later well after meal was finished. Having said that, the food was delicious both our main course and the apple strudel dessert. Although the poor service was somewhat irritating, I would happily return for the outstanding food .
